MAKE FOR ME FIRST: 1KINGS 17:7-24

Matthew 6:33(But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you).

1Kings 17:10(So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel that I may drink. 11 And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand. 12 And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and behold, I am gathering two sticks that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. 13 And Elijah said unto her, fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and thy son. 14 For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth. 15 And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days).

As we continue our journey here on earth, God is saying to you and me to make for Him first before any other thing. He wants every one of us to make Him and the interest of His kingdom number one. He did not want to be an afterthought; He wants to occupy our minds. God does not want to share His space with anyone because He is a jealous God. And you know what they said about jealousy, that it is a very strong emotion. Song of Solomon 8:6(Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame). He is saying to us to make Him number one and He will make everything that we will ever need to live a stress free life available for us. He wants our attention, our focus to be solely on Him. He gave us life and He is demanding that we should make Him number one priority in our life and He will take absolute control of everything that goes on in our lives. Make for me first is not always about giving out your money; God will not ask you for what he has not given you, so don’t go and borrow money to do the things of God. There are so many ways you can give to Him, you can give Him your time; for example, kingdom advancement prayers; if you pray for the advancement of His kingdom for the people to be saved before your personal prayer you are making for Him first. When you pray for other people’s needs to be met before praying for your own needs you are making for him first. And He promises to answer all your prayers if you will do exactly that. You can’t lack what you are giving to others.  He gave us harvest and He requires that we should give Him ten percent of our harvest and He will make sure that the enemy will not destroy the fruit of our ground and not only that, that He will also upon the window of heaven and release His blessing upon us (Malachi 3:10-11). He also tells us that He is not hungry and that everything belongs to Him. Psalm 50:11(I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. 12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fullness therefore). Jesus says whatever good we do to the needy we are doing it for him (Matthew 25:35-46). Elijah asked the widow of zarephath to make for him first out of the little meal that she had left in the days of famine and the widow obeyed and she never lacked anything all through the famine. God keeps proving to us that if we make His agenda number one in our lives we will not need to bother about any other things. He is a covenant keeping God; as long as our part is played His own part is guaranteed. The first place He wants to occupy is our heart; that’s why He said we should set Him as a seal upon our heart. He has the widow of Zarephath's heart that’s why He directed Elijah to go there. He wants the same relationship with you, in case you have not given Him your heart, please open up your heart to Him today and enjoy life in abundance in Jesus name (John 10:10).

THE MANIFESTATION OF THE SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF GOD

Roman 8:19 (For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God).

The world is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God because the world knows that the sons of God are called to manifest after their Father. Note that the world is not waiting for the children to manifest but the sons. At new birth we become the children of God, having the capacity to develop into a son. The power to become a son has been given to us but it needs to be activated if not it will remain dormant (John 1:12). The sons and daughters of God are proved, they have to go through the refiner’s fire and come out as gold and silver before they can manifest (Malachi 3:2-3). Those who cannot stand the heat will remain a baby for life. The reason some are not manifesting their destiny is because of fear of the heat but what they don’t know is the promise of God concerning our trials. He promised to go through the refiner’s fire with us; which means we will not be burnt. Isaiah 43:1(But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine, 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee).He was in the burning fiery furnace with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego as the fourth man and they were not burnt. Daniel 3:25(He answered and said, lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God). God is telling us that as His redeemed children we should not be afraid of the fire because He has given us immunity against fire. That the fire is not meant to kill or burn us but to refine us;  as for those who are not his children the fire is meant to kill them just as it did to the men who threw the three Hebrew boys into the fire. Someone may be thinking why all this trouble after giving my life to Christ and begin to question his or her redemption; it is okay to think that way. It is you who is going through the refiner’s fire that the world is waiting for to manifest, not the one who has shown the world what she has or the children who are still afraid of fire. You are a work in progress, you are a chosen generation called to show forth the excellence of God here on earth; your manifestation is what the world is waiting for in order to convert and become the sons and daughters of God too (2 Peter 2:9). That’s why you must manifest; God said you have not chosen Him but He has chosen you to go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should abide and bring forth fruit also (John 15:16). You need to grow, you can’t remain a child for life if you must manifest for the world to see then spiritual growth is must. You are ordained to command spiritual authority after the order of your Father. Some people are in the world waiting for your manifestation; they are eager to see the light and come to the light because without you they may never see the light (Matthew 5:14). You are a carrier of light and the earnest expectation of the creature is for you to show them the light because in your light they shall see light (Psalm 36:9). Friends, I don’t know which level you are now in your purification and trial, please hurry up and come out. What you are going through is not ordinary and is not going to be in vain; keep pressing forward because you will soon get to your point of manifestation. I will see you there in Jesus name. God said the redeemed are His own (Isaiah 43:1-2). Only the redeemed children have the capacity to develop into sons and daughters; the redeemed are sure of God's unfailing presence, they are sure that what they are passing through is taking them to a greater height. Christ in us is our hope of glory and hope is what keeps us moving (Colossians 1:27). John 1:12 (But as many as received him, to them gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name).  Jesus is our only hope of becoming a son and a daughter of God, in case you have not accepted him as your Lord and savior, do it today and receive the power to become the son of God.

THE REFINER'S FIRE

Malachi 3:2(But who may abide the day of his coming? And who shall stand when he appeareth? For he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap: 3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness).

Romans 12:1(I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service).

The Levite are chosen by God as His ministers, they are separated as His own, they are living sacrifices; which means they have no will, everything they do is according to the will of God. They have no inheritance among their brethren; the Most High God is their inheritance. The intention of God is for us to be like the Levite from the beginning. The Levite were the only one among their brethren that could access the throne of grace because they were chosen and purified by God but the sacrifice of Jesus in the cross of Calvary has given every one of us access to the throne of God; that is the beauty of salvation. The bible says that as a redeemed child of God, you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, a living sacrifice, a priest and a king ordained to rule here on earth (1Peter 2:9). Redemption has made me and you a Levite; you are unique and you are called to operate in a different realm. If God is your inheritance, then you have nothing to worry about because He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus and He is a very rich God (Philippians 4:19). Part of the requirement to access our inheritance in God is sanctification and purification. God told Abraham that He is his exceeding great reward and Abraham became a generational blessing till today (Genesis 15:1).  We are redeemed to live according to the will of God. Matthew 6:10(Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven). Even the Holy Spirit intercedes for us according to the will of God (Romans 8:27). God has a plan for you and I. Jeremiah 29:11(For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end). The problem lies in us; can you withstand the heat, would you wait for Him to come, can you submit everything to His will and become a living sacrifice. It is for our own good; His commandments are not grievous and they are for our profiting (Hebrews 12:11). We are from above and we are to operate on heaven principles if we must access our inheritance in Christ. Revelation 5:12(Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing). We will not be accepted as a living sacrifice except we go through the refiner’s fire and come out as gold and silver. Remember Jesus Christ is to present a clean church to God without wrinkles and we are the church not the building; the building is just the structure. Some of us are still going through the refiner’s fire while some have not made up their mind but the earlier the better because that height you want to reach in your career you may never get there without purification. You need God to get there and to stay there; He is the only guarantee that your enemies will not bring you down. You need the presence of God to maintain or sustain your height and His eyes cannot withhold uncleanness. We are here on earth to serve God and our service cannot be accepted without purification and an unacceptable service cannot attract rewards. The three Hebrew boys (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego) went through their own refiner’s fire and became a celebrity and were promoted. The refiner’s fire is for our promotion. We are the raw material for silver and gold and God is the purifier which means inside everyone us is silver and gold; it just needs to be purified. That’s why God is saying, what you are asking for is already inside you, but would you allow me to help you bring it out; something is covering it and it needs to be clean but the fullers’ soap and the refiner’s fire is in His hand. He will see you through all the trials and make sure you will not get burnt; all He requires of you is total surrender to His will. It is not everyone that cried, Lord, I am available, use me that were able to wait for the days of His coming; they could not withstand the fire. Jesus says when the son of man comes will he find faith on the earth (Luke 18:8). Many have dropped out because of impatience, some are almost there before they turn back but that will not be you in Jesus name. Every journey begins with the first step; salvation is the first to our purification. If you have not made up your mind to summit to His will, please do it right now by praying the salvation prayer below.

THE ENDURANCE TREK

Proverbs 24:10(If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small). Psalms 110:2(the LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies). Psalms 144:1 (Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war and fingers to fight):

In the journey of destiny, there is what is called endurance trekking; it is part of our training. We need to develop stamina to withstand the difficult days because it will surely come; your preparation will determine your victory. We need to endure certain things along our path in this journey and    without endurance training it may be tough.  The bible says if you faint during trial your strength is small (proverbs 24:10). If you don’t want to faint during the time of trial then endurance trekking exercise is what you should embark on.  You shall not faint in Jesus name. Waiting for the day of the battle before embarking on the exercise is a recipe for failure; it is called crash program, and it answers to his name; those who embark on it are liable to crash landing. Endurance trekking helps us to develop our faith because our faith in God is what will sustain us. Isaiah 26:4(Trust ye in the LORD forever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength). We can never go wrong trusting God the more trust you have in Him the more your strength. Faith is in levels and it has capacity to grow; little faith little result, great faith greater result; it is to you according to the level of your faith that can also mean according to the level of your strength (Matthew 9:29). Our faith is our stamina, faith is what will react to that negative situation and say no, faith will say that’s not what God said concerning you and as soon as faith says no, God will step in to confirm His word in your life. Faith is what will tell you to endure that the end is near and that you will soon see the glory of God. Faith cometh by hearing the word of God, we need to feed ourselves with the word of God (Romans 10:17). Psalms 119:28(My soul melted for heaviness; strengthen thou me according unto thy word).  The word of God is therapeutic, and it is energizer, it strengthens our faith. The bible says in Jude 1:20(But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost). We can also build up our strength in prayers and fasting; by praying in the Holy Ghost. Jesus says in Matthew 17:21(Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting). He told them in the previous verse that their faith is small and needs to be built up. They need more strength to withstand such challenges. Isaiah 40:30(Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint). The bible is telling us that the strength we need does not answers to age. During my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), we embarked on endurance trekking training but I thought it was fun even though I cheated; I didn’t follow them to the end. I waited somewhere for them to come back but I later paid the prize. I was posted to a remote area with unfamiliar weather and so many other things. I wasn’t prepared and I stressed everyone around me because of my unstoppable crying and complaining but my colleagues were okay; maybe because they did not cheat during our training. Despite all my crying and rebellion I stayed because it was just a one year program. At the end I had a testimony; it was during that period that I encountered God in a strange dimension and now I can’t tell my story without that experience. God has a plan for each and every one of us; sometimes we think He does not care about us nor hear our cry. When we are in pain, He is in pain too. It is called turf love. Those training are necessary in order for us to be able to manifest our glorious destiny. He is teaching our hands to war and our fingers to fight because life is a battlefield and not a funfair; you need strength to rule in the midst of your enemies. Friends, please endure, stay on and complete your training. You shall not quit and not faint in Jesus name. The LORD is our strength; which means without Him we have no strength. In case you have not made him your Lord and savior; this is your chance, do so and be blessed in Jesus name

THE WINNING PATIENCE - PATIENCE OF NOAH: GENESIS 6-8

Genesis 6:5(And god saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth , and that every imagination of the thought of his heart was only evil continually. 8 But Noah found grace in eyes of the LORD. 17 And, behold I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life from under heaven; and everything that is in the earth shall die. 18 but with the will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee. 19 And every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female).

The bible describes our fathers and mothers of faith as men and women who through patience obtained the promise (Hebrews 11). Patience is one of the fruit of the Spirit, which means as a believer we all need to bear it. Every promise of God requires patience to deliver; His promise is more like a covenant and your own part is to be patient and continue your good work (Galatians 5:22). I believe that Noah is the most patient man that I have come across in the scripture. His faith in God is something else; it is the winning faith. You can’t say that you have faith in God and you don’t have the patience to wait for Him. Faith and patience work together. Imagine how long it took Noah to construct such an Ark that contained all those animals. I am sure he was ridiculed by his town men; how stupid he was and has nothing good to do with his time but building nonsense Ark. They will say he is delusional, how did he know that God is going to destroy the people of the earth. The promise of God for you can only make sense to you and those who believe in God. Just like Noah, your focus should be on the assignment and the giver of the assignment not the mockers; that’s the attitude of a winner. Winners see insults as energizers; they don’t get discouraged because of what people say or how they view their assignment instead they keep moving. God wants us to have the same attitude towards our assignment if we want to be successful. Noah was not in hurry; he was diligent in his work of constructing the Ark and waited for the appointed time. He waited for one hundred years before the flood came (Genesis 5:32, 7:6). If your destiny is as huge as that Ark, then it will require the patience of Noah to manifest. You need to work with God to construct your destiny the way he wants it to be. Our God is the God of time and season (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Finally the flood came and Noah and his family entered into the Ark with those crazy animals. Lion and adder were among them and there was no record of any harm, every creature maintained their lane and remained calm. It takes Faith in God to believe that the animals will not hurt him; they were all at his command. Your faith in God will put everything in your command. And God remembered Noah (Genesis 8:1). God will remember you today in Jesus name. He will cause the water to stop so that you can step into the manifestation phase of your destiny in Jesus name. Did God actually forget that Noah was in the Ark? No, He did not; it was a trial of Faith and patience. I pray that you will not fail any trial in Jesus name. The scripture recorded that after 150 days the water abated but Noah continues to wait for the water to completely dry up. At that point I think I will jump out of the Ark but that would have been wrong because without complete patience you will not achieve your desired result, your result will develop pimples. We are part of the result of Noah’s patience because without his work with God the human race would have been extinct. And the LORD visited Sarah as He has promised (Genesis 21:1-3). He is a covenant keeping God; if He has promised to visit you, please wait for Him because He will definitely come. He is constructing your Ark and it will soon be ready. If Elizabeth and Zechariah knew that they were waiting for Mary to grow and conceive the messiah they wouldn’t have bothered about their childlessness (Luke 1:1-37). People will write stories about your patience and exploits in Jesus' name. Noah found grace in God because he positioned himself and his heart was right with God. In case your heart is not yet connected with God, here is another opportunity.

BRINGING WATER OUT OF THE ROCK: EXODUS 17:4-6

Psalm 78:14(In the day time also he led them with a cloud, and all the night with a light of fire. 15 He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths. 16 He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers).

Literally, bringing water out of the rock seems so impossible but it happens; God did it for the children of Israel in the wilderness. Those who live in the mainland do not lack water but the people in the wilderness lack water. As we continue our journey here on earth some are still in their wilderness days and being in the wilderness can be so tiring and discouraging. The bible says when he led them through the wilderness they lacked nothing including water (Psalm 84). That means if God is the one leading you He will make provision for all your needs. The psalmist says in Psalm 23:3(He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake). God will not allow you to be put to shame because the wilderness journey is to glorify Him in you. Every great name in the kingdom today has their wilderness days, it is an inevitable part of our journey in life. Some situations may look so hard like rock as if nothing can come out of it; but with God all things are possible. We need to remember that God himself experienced darkness in the book of Genesis at creation (Genesis 1:1-3). He speaks to the darkness and it vomits light; or where did you think the light comes from. Light has always been there because that was the intention of God but the darkness covers it and God has to confront the darkness head log by speaking what he wanted to see and everything he wanted appeared and He overcame. He created us in His own image and He has empowered us to command exploits like Him. I don’t know what has covered your light; I command it to clear off right now in Jesus name. When the children of Israel cried for water in the wilderness; God asked Moses to smite the rock with his rod and it brought out water (Exodus 17:4-6). He would have asked him to smite the ground but He did not so as to prove to us that out of the same hard situation our desired result is hidden there. Friends, look at that situation and speak the result that you desire and ignore the picture that the devil is presenting to you. Look at that situation face to face and declare what you want to see and what the word of God has said concerning you. Those enemies of yours are created by God and He can dislodge their tricks anytime and any day. The same way Satan could not frustrate God because He created him, he cannot frustrate you also. What you are seeing is the raw material for what you are looking for; we can create what we want to see from what we are seeing in front of us by speaking directly to it. Moses has a rod in his hand and God told him that the rod in his hand is all he needs to create what he wants to see. The rod in the hand of Moses turns to serpent and swallows the serpent of the magician. The rod is the word of God and His creative power is in His word. The solution to your problem is in your hand, use it wisely and you will get your desired result in Jesus name. Remember to maintain your joy because without it you cannot draw water out of the wells of salvation (Isaiah 12:3). The rod cannot work in the hand of everybody; you need to have a personal relationship with God before you can manifest His power. Psalm 78:35(And they remember that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer). God is our rock and the only way to get water from Him is to know Him personally. Some people need to remember Him as their rock and reconnect with Him while some need to enter into a relationship with Him; whichever categories you fall into, His hands are open to receive you right now. Hurry up, by praying this salvation prayer below.

THE MULTIPLIER EFFECT OF THANKSGIVING

John 6:6(And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do. 7 Philip answered him two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them that every one of them may take a little. 8 One of his disciples Andrew, Simon Peter’ brother saith unto him, 9 There is a lad here, which hath five barley loves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many? 10 And Jesus said, make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.  11 And Jesus took the loves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. 12 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the segments that remain, that nothing be lost).

In the journey of destiny, at times we may come across some issues that seem so embarrassing and look unsolvable. We need to understand that with God all things are possible and if He is the one leading us through our journey we have nothing to worry about. He has created us in His own image which means we also have the power to do the impossible if we believe and follow His teaching and direction (Matthew 17:20,19:26). John 14:12(Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father). Knowing what to do in any situation and doing it, is considered wisdom. That is exactly what Jesus did when he was face to face with the issue of lack and want; it was an embarrassing situation but he overcame by applying what he knows. He needed to feed his congregation when they were hungry; the place was isolated and he couldn't afford the food that would feed the entire congregation. It was a serious problem but in this kingdom, the solution to all our problems has been made available by God and they are all in the perfect book of liberty. That’s why He said we should not allow the book of the law to depart from us, that we should meditate in it day and night and do according to all that is in it (Joshua 1:8). Jesus was aware of this instruction, he knew what is in the scripture; he was aware of the multiplier effect of thanksgiving. The scripture says he knew what to do. Knowing what to do in any situation will make you at peace. Instead of complaining, he gave glory to God for making the little boy lunch available and that provoked heaven's attention. The principle of multiplication kicked in immediately and the multiplier God went into action because with Him all things are possible including that thing you are looking for my dear friend. So the best thing to do in the situation of lack and want, and insufficiency is to give thanks to God for the little that you have or where you are and He will catapult you to the next levels. Complaining complicates our situation and it will keep God far away from us while thanksgiving multiplies our blessing. When you thank God you are actually applying for more of God’s blessing, it is a way of lobbying God. You can only enter His gate with thanksgiving and His court with praise but when you complain He will shut His gate with double pad lock and guard His court with heavy guards (Psalm 100:4). There is no way you will not have anything to thank God for; your life alone is worth thanksgiving. As you continue to study the word of God you will find out that there is a way out of that situation. He rains manna for the children of Israel for 40years in the wilderness and He gives them water in dry land. He saw the land, He could have dug deeper but He decided to give them water from the rock to prove to us that the hardest situation is the easiest for Him to solve. The testimony of the children of Israel in the wilderness gave Jesus Christ the confidence that God can repeat the same because He is the same yesterday, today and forever. If we also follow his footstep by engaging the instrument of thanksgiving we will have the same result. Friends, what you are experiencing now may just be the wilderness phase of your journey and you will soon enter your promised land, your land of abundance in Jesus name. God supplied the needs of the children of Israel all through their journey in wilderness because they were his children and Jesus fed the multitude because they were his disciples; they believe in him. He is ready to do the same for you today if you will turn to Him because if you are not His own your thanksgiving will not have a multiplier effect. Salvation is the first step to start your journey with God; take that bold step today and be saved in Jesus name.

COME OUT OF THE DUNGHILL PART 5 (THE PRODIGAL SON AND THE POWER OF MEDITATION): LUKE 15:11-24

Psalm 113:7(He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; 8 That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people).

Psalm121:1(I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth).

As we continue in this segment; it is very important to note that some are in the dunghill because they led themselves there. But no matter what happens or the mistake that has been made in the past that led to your dethronement; in this Kingdom where we belong our father is a merciful God and He has made a way for our return. He will not force you to return, He expects you to make that decision by yourself. The prodigal son is our case study today; he practically led himself to the dunghill and began to drag food with the swine. He did not even find a space among the poor; he had to share space with the dirtiest creature. That’s how bad his situation was and that’s how low he went deep into the valley. That will not be your portion in Jesus name. Luke 15:14(And when he spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. 15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he send him into his fields to feed swine. 16 And he would fain have filled his belly with husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. 17 And when he came to himself, he said how many hire servants of my father have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger). The prodigal son was a wealthy prince; he collected his inheritance and squandered it and was reduced to piggery level. When he remembered where he used to be and his heritage. He engages the power of meditation and comes up with a solution to his problem. Every genuine meditation will always bring about a positive solution. Meditation is one of the keys to our success as we continue our journey here on earth. Sometimes we need to examine ourselves and our situation; you need to think deeply and ask a genuine question; why am I in this situation and how can I get out of this mess that I found myself or put myself in. The answer will definitely come and God has the answer to all questions. He is  a question answering God (Jeremiah 33:3). The prodigal son recognized that immediately; he returned home to plead with his father and to ask him for forgiveness. He actually received more than he expected; he wanted to ask his father to hire him as one of his servants but his Father was so happy that he returned; before he could ask for forgiveness he stretched out his hand and received him. Not only was he forgiven, he was reinstated into his estate with a welcome party. He got his throne back to the envy of his brother; that’s the kind of father that we have in God. He is always eager to receive us and forgive our trespasses no matter how horrible it may look. All He requires from us is a genuine repentance. What a wonderful father. Luke 15:20(And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him). Friends, I don’t know your situation right now but I am sure of God’s kindness and Love for you and me. In case you have collected your inheritance and misuse them I have good news for you. Our God is kind, don’t miss this opportunity, His hand is already stretching out towards you, run quickly and embrace him today and watch him restore you back to the original image he has created you to be. You are a royal diadem, a crown of glory to the LORD, a chosen generation called forth to show His excellence; so stop eating with the swine and come back home. If you are not yet his son or daughter; in this family there is a place for you and it is a beautiful mansion. Please come quickly and take your place by praying this simple salvation prayer below.

COME OUT OF THE DUNG HILL PART 4 (THE EXAMPLE OF PETER AND THE POWER OF GIVING): LUKE 5:1-11

Psalm 113:7(He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; 8 That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people).

Psalm121:1(I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth).

Even though God is the one that lifted the poor out of the dunghill, we need to position ourselves to be seen and heard by him. It is called divine positioning because you are not the only one down there but you are going to initiate your rescue by your attitude. Peter was a failed fisherman before Jesus Christ found him and lifted him up. He lends his boat to Jesus and he had a net breaking experience (Luke 5:1-6). An encounter with God will definitely culminate into a breakthrough and everyone in the valley needs one breakthrough that will bring him up to the mountain top. Peter became a surprise to himself and he immediately recognized how unworthy he was that he is a sinful man and does not deserve that kind of breakthrough. Luke 5:8(When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord. 9 For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken: 10 And so was also James and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men).  Peter that was nobody in Israel, a fearful man that was always afraid of his own shadow became Peter the rock upon which Christ built His church. Friends, your story is changing in Jesus name. God will give you a new status in Jesus name. You need to think your way out of that predicament, if the prodigal son refuses to engage his mind he would have remained in his ugly situation. Peter became the pillar of the early church; remember he was just an ordinary fisherman but he extended a friendly hand to Jesus through giving and He lifted him up. God has made a way of escape for everyone in the dunghill; all you have to do is to dig deep inside you and you will find yours. The scripture says in Luke 6:38(Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again). No matter how little you have, someone's need could be met with what you can spare from it. You don’t need to wait till when you can feed the whole world before you give, start from where you are right there in the dunghill. Whatever you give to men you are giving it to God and He knows your capability and it is the same God that will reward you and that makes it very easy. Since the distance between the hill and the valley is much; our giving to people in need and the things of God can draw us closer to God which will in turn lead to our dramatic change of levels just like in the case of Peter. Your giving will make his hand reach you because you need to extend your hand to give and He will stretch out His hand to receive you and get you out of the valley. If you as a person refuse to extend your hand, God will not force you but your situation will remain the same; that will not be you in Jesus name. Our heart is the connecting link between us and God; so be genuine. There was a testimony of a sister in Winners who genuinely wanted to use her one room for house fellowship even though there was no parlor but God saw her heart and gave her 2bedroom flat with a big compound that can accommodate a lot of people; her desire to give the little that she has lifted her out of the dunghill. I don’t know where you are right now but I am sure of one thing; God’s hand is stretched out towards you and all you need to do is to extend a hand of friendship so that he can lift you up. The first step towards that is salvation and this prayer below will settle you for eternity.
