THE RACE OF DESTINY

Habakkuk 2:2(And the LORD answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it).

1 Corinthians 9:24(know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run that you may obtain).

This is a sequence to my last segment titled (THE MANUFACTURER’S MANUAL). Life is a journey; the day you are born into this world your journey begins. It doesn’t matter where you are born; the place of your birth, race and gender notwithstanding. As we all know that everyone born of a man is born into a sinful world, but God in His infinite mercy has made a way of escape for us through His son Jesus Christ. Through Jesus Christ we have the opportunity to be born of the spirit so that we can have the Spirit of God in us. The spirit of God inside us is the reason why we can boldly say that we are born again and that’s the second birth. No doubt we are all created in the image of God and expect to manifest after Him but we cannot manifest His nature without His Spirit in us because God is Spirit (Genesis 1:26-27). In the beginning when God created a man He breathed His Spirit into his nostril and man became a living soul; (Genesis 2:7) the Spirit of God departed from man when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and sin against Him (Genesis 3). Without the Spirit of God in a man, man cannot be a complete image of God.  If you go through this journey and end up in hell of what use life is; we are meant to end this journey and enter heaven where our father is sitting on the throne (2 Corinthian 9:24-27). The day you give your life to Christ, you enter into a race. The second birth qualifies you to be enrolled into the race.  “A call to Christianity is a call to race” Bishop David Oyedepo.  Why is it a race? Because you now have something precious in your hand that was yours before but stolen by the devil and your new birth has delivered it into your hand and the one who was with it  before your new birth will not give up until he collects it back; that’s why you need to run with it. Your original mandate which is the purpose that God created you for has been found; you are now a visionary man. The scripture tells us to run with vision. Habakkuk 2:2b “that he may run that readeth it” Everyone that engages in a race expects to win a prize at the end. The difference between an athletic race and the race of destiny is the competition aspect of it; in the race of destiny you are running on your own and not in competition with anyone. The trick is that you are not in competition but yet you need the mentality of a competitor to win the race. In this race of destiny if you are in a competition with anyone that means you have already lost the mandate because you are meant to be in your own lane and focus on the one that calls you to race. No two human beings are the same, we are unique in nature and our uniqueness is where our destiny lies. Everyone is specially made to fit the purpose in which God created them to achieve. If you are really focusing on your call you will not have time to see what others are doing and even start competing with them. You have the liberty to decide how you want to run your own race and how well you run will determine whether you will get the prize or not. The decision is absolutely yours. It is not everyone that is able to make it to the end because of satanic diversion. Your father is the one awarding the prize but you need to make it to where He is seated in heaven in order to receive your prize.  Everyone is set on their own lane and is expected to maintain their lane and run straight because the road is described to be narrow and straight (Matthew 7:14). People will naturally want to obey God and also want to fulfill their destiny but there are forces who will not want them to succeed; that’s why the bible says in John 1:12(But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name). Ezekiel 36:27(And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them). The Spirit of God in us is what empowers us to run the race to the finish line. And the spirit helps our infirmity, He is our helper and He will continue to help you in Jesus name. Jesus Christ in the wilderness was weary but the Angel helped him. Friends, you need power to run the race and this power is only given to those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior; In case you have not accepted him; here is another opportunity, do it and be blessed.

THE MANUFACTURER’S MANUAL: JOSHUA 1:8, ISAIAH 61:1, AND LUKE 4:16-21

Luke 4:16(And He came to Nazareth, where he has been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the Prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21 And he began to say unto the, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears).

We all know that we are created for a purpose but like I have always said, many have gone through life without knowing their purpose not even talking of fulfilling them; it is a very sad situation. Some know but they are unable to fulfill it because they lack power to do it. That’s why some people will say that they know exactly what to do but they can’t do it; they will keep singing about it until they end their journey. The bible says my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). If you buy a product and you did not go through the manual you may not be able to use it; even if you try you may end up spoiling it and not get the full value for your money. After the fall of man; God in His mercy has made a way of restoring us back to our original image. He gave the first manual to the children of Israel when He chose them to be His own and instructed them that they should not allow the book of law to depart from them and they should teach their children (Deuteronomy 6:1-9). In those days the Spirit of God did not live permanently in a man, He chose a vessel for Himself and come and go (2 Chronicles 20:14). When Jesus Christ was about to leave, he promised to send us the spirit of the father who will be with us always and he does (John 14:16-18, John 16:12-16). Now that the Holy Spirit has been given to us in order to maintain our relationship with him God has given us a manual that will guide us on how to keep what has been given to us. Man is empty and purposeless without the Spirit of God. The Spirit of God will begin to guide and lead us through the path that God has chosen for us but should in case we don’t get it right the manual is there for us to refer to. We also need the Holy Spirit to understand the manual; He will open our eyes to things that ordinarily would not have meant anything to us. Everything about our life is written in the book but we need to find it and we can’t find it without reading; we really need to develop the attitude of reading. It is the knowledge that we acquire that the Holy Spirit will bring to our remembrance and if we have nothing inside of us he won’t be able to help us.  If anything seems not to be going well we are to go back to the manufacturer’s manual because it tells us exactly what went wrong and what to do to correct the mistake that has been made. In this case the Holy Bible is the manufacturer’s manual given to us by God. David told us in (Psalms 139:16) that everything about him is in that manual that even though he doesn’t look like what God has planned for him but it is real because it is written. Friends, your destiny is written down in that book. The same book that Jesus Christ the son of God opens and finds what was written concerning him (Isaiah 61:1, Luke 4:16-21). The truth is that you can’t use the manual as your guide and go wrong. So many people assume they know it all and they destroy the product. Life is too delicate to live in an assumption. Since the day that I found my purpose there is nothing anyone can do to keep me away no matter how enticing it looks; I don’t feel it. I am just happy doing what I know I am created for. And that’s what happens when you find your purpose. Jesus Christ said that the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant man who found a great pearl and like a man who found a treasure hidden in a field (Matthew 13:44-46). The joy, the zeal, and the passion in which you will pursue your purpose are the proof that you have found it. Please don’t give up yet keep searching the book you will find your purpose (Matthew 7:7). Ask the Holy Spirit to help you and show you your purpose. Friends, without a personal relation with God you may not be able to understand the manual; nobody knows the product better than the manufacturer. In case you have not, here is another opportunity to accept Jesus as your Lord and savior.

THE VALUE OF PURPOSE

Matthew 13:44(Again, the Kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy therefore goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. 45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto merchant man seeking goodly pearls: 46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it).

Our purpose in life is a treasure and no one finds treasure on the surface; it requires searching because it is hidden. Habakkuk seeks the face of God and He gave him vision and said to him to write it clearly so that he that read it may run with it. Habakkuk 2:2(And the LORD answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it). With this scripture it is very clear that the vision that Habakkuk wrote is hidden in a book and only those who found it while reading can run with it. That is the value that God places in knowledge. Hosea 4:6(My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children). It was very clear that among the spies that were sent into the land of Canaan; it was only Caleb and Joshua who read and understood their mandate. God says my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. If you don’t have the knowledge of your assignment you will not make it to the finished line. Those who found their bearings in life are joyful and they run with passion and zeal and nothing anyone or devil can do to distract them. A man of purpose is a man of extraordinary confidence, he cannot be depressed and cannot be discouraged; in fact they have inbuilt courage. The merchant man sold everything that he had to buy the treasure field and the great pearl because to him that is all that matters. That’s what happens when you finally find your purpose in life. He was not a poor man, he was doing very well but those things are not what he was originally created for; why was he searching even though he was well off? Because deep inside he felt emptiness and knew that something was not right. He did not give up searching, he was consistent and persistence that’s why he finally found it. Just like the rich man and Jesus, he told him to give away all that he has and follow him and receive the kingdom of heaven his original assignment but he refuses (Matthew 19:21). But the wise merchant does away with all and receives the kingdom of heaven instead. How do you sell everything? You may ask, by saying good bye to the world and focus on pursuing the things of the kingdom. Those things you know before mean nothing now that you have a treasure that was hidden before in your hand. The individual feels complete and joyful just like the merchant man. Matthew 6:33(But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you). Our purpose in life is worth celebrating when it’s found; life is meaningless without a purpose. Our Purpose in life is so valuable and it is worth selling everything for; please don’t hold on to the world. Bishop David Oyedepo was searching and God delivered a mandate to him in 18 hours long vision (That the time has come to liberate the world from all oppression of the devil through the preaching of the word of Faith). I can boldly say today that I am a product of that mandate and millions of others all over the world. Your own mandate is hidden in a book; please develop the attitude of reading. Daniel understood by book that they were to be set free from captivity after seventy years; imagine if he was like the others who do not read (Daniel 9:2). Jesus Christ understood his mandate from the book that he was to set the oppressed free (Luke 4:17-20). Jesus Christ ran with his mandate to the end and all of us believers are still a product of his mandate today. Remember the earnest expectation of the creature is waiting for you and me to manifest our destiny (Romans 8:19). The reason you are feeling worthless and unimportant is because you have not found your purpose. The bible says seek and you shall find (Matthew 7:7). Friends, in case you have not found your purpose; you need to seek God first and He will hand it over to you. The first step to your searching is salvation and this simple prayer below will settle it for life.

LIVING A LIFE OF PURPOSE

Psalm 139:13(For thou has possessed my reins: thou has covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. 15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being un perfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them).

1 Samuel 16:12(And he sent, and brought him. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he).

We are all here on earth to achieve a purpose in which God has created us for. So many people have gone through life without achieving their purpose because they never knew why they are here in the first place. Just like the manufacturer of a product has a purpose for his product, they knew exactly what they wanted to achieve before production. Every product is designed to meet specific needs and when that need is met both the consumer and the manufacturer are happy. The manufacturer gets rewards for his effort and the consumer gets the good value for their money and everything is copacetic. God is happy when He sees us doing exactly what he created us to do because no father would want his children to fail. There is a need for you here on earth; God has created you to meet a specific need and without realizing it that need will not be met. God does not waste His time and effort; everything He created is designed to meet a specific need including you and me. In the beginning after He created everything that man will need to live a purposeful life He said let us make a man in our image. Genesis 1:27(So, God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God bless them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over everything that moveth upon the earth). Everything God made was good and deliberate; After God created man He gave man a mandate; so friend just like David says in our anchor scripture above, you are not a mistake, you are here for a purpose. The original purpose of man is what God listed above and it has not changed, so whatever you are doing at the end of the day is meant to be blessed, multiplied, and above all to dominate and rule in your area of endeavor. Whatever that is contrary to the expected result is not of God. Man’s mandate was snatched away from him by Satan in the Garden of Eden. Thank be to God who in His manifold wisdom has made a way to restore man back to his original image and purpose. Every man is different both in shape and color; we are all here on assignment and are designed to fit into His plan for us. David was very sure that God took time to form him in his mother’s womb for a purpose and when Samuel was sent to anoint him, he described his look; even God told Samuel that David was not like his brothers both in look and inside. You may not look like a king but God said you are a king; it is not what you think or how you look that matters but the important thing is who God has designed you to be. You need to appreciate the work of God in your life just like David did if you really want to live a life of purpose. Since the fall of man the Spirit of God departed from man; the bible tells us that when Samuel anointed David the Spirit of God entered him and from that time forward the spirit of God became his personal compass. He was empowered to conquer; the bible says David never lost any battle because he was led by the Spirit of God all through his journey here on earth. We all can attest to the fact that David lives a purposeful life. David said he looks imperfect but yet God knows everything about him and it was written in His manual. Every product has a manual that specifies the use, so in case you don’t know the purpose you are created for, you can refer to the manufacturer’s manual which is the bible or you can pray and ask the manufacturer (O LORD show me, my purpose of existence). Someone may be thinking he is doing very well but yet living a purposeless life; that’s why a very wealthy man will commit suicide and you would be wondering what might have gone wrong, he felt emptiness, the void has not be filled. Some may even begin to look for something else to fill in the gap by engaging in some evil activities or things that do not glorify God and are also harmful to them because nature they say abhor vacuum. The spirit of God in us is what helps us to navigate through hardship and other things that may hinder us. God found David and anointed him; Friend, you are next to be found by him but you need to position yourself where He will find you and empower you to manifest your destiny. He is knocking at your door right now but except you invite Him he will not force Himself in; open the door of your heart to Him by praying this salvation prayer below and be blessed in Jesus name.

MAN'S NATURAL DOMAIN

John 3:3(Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit).

Luke 17:21(Neither shall they say, Lo here! Or, lo there! For, behold, the kingdom of God is within you).

The kingdom of God is our natural domain; we are kings, and kings have a kingdom. God created a kingdom and handed it over to man to rule and dominate but man committed treason when he handed over his authority to Satan (Genesis 2:15). God wants man to live heaven on earth life; that’s why He put man in the Garden of Eden. We have been chased out of our kingdom since the fall of man. That's the reason why man begins to live for bread and butter; that is living a purposeless life (Genesis 3:17-19, 23-24). Man cannot be satisfied because he is missing something; there is a void that needs to be filled. You are now in a strange place and no one can be comfortable in another person's domain. Man keeps looking for how to fill in the void and be satisfied. Man became empty When the Spirit of God left him after the fall in the Garden of Eden. The spirit of God in a man is what confers the authority to him and Satan knows it very well and he also knows the rule. That's why he was able to chase man out of his domain and begin to rule over a man. After God finished His work, He was happy because everything he did was good (Genesis 1:21, 25, 31). God became sad when the destroyer found his way into the garden to destroy the man in which God had created. Every kingdom has a rule and law that govern their affair and if this law is broken the offenders are punished for their crime. They enter into prison which is bondage and that’s exactly what transpires between God and man. When man sin he enters into bondage and becomes a fugitive. And to be able to be free and enter into the kingdom of God again Jesus Christ has to come and take us there;  that’s why he said in the book of (John 3:3-6) that we need to be born again. The spirit of God needs to enter again and take us into our original domain which is the kingdom of God; it requires processing unlike before so that we will not make the same mistake that was made in the Garden of Eden. The Garden of Eden is our palace. To reflect the image of God is no longer automatic, we need to be transformed and grow into His image from glory to glory by the Spirit of God (2 Corinthians 3:18). Everything we need to fulfill our purpose is in the Garden. We are to dominate, but now the reverse is the case, the devil is now dominating man that is why he will ask him to worship stone and he agrees. The original purpose was to dominate everything God created but now even stone and tree have dominated a man. Man was created to dominate every creature even the ones in the sea but man now worships them. Adam named every creature in the beginning; that is dominion. We are meant to eat them not to worship them; that’s why when the Spirit of God was at work in the life of Caleb and Joshua they referred to the giants as bread not a threat. The devil will stay behind the stone and ask man to worship him; what an irony. But that will no longer be someone reading this in Jesus name. When you are in bondage you have no power of your own; you do what your captor says and that is exactly what happens to man. God in His loving kindness has made a way of escape for us to be set free and return to our original domain. What is chasing you before you will start chasing them. That is the sign that you have gotten your power back. Jesus Christ came to introduce us to the kingdom of God, reconcile us to God and teach us how to recover our lost kingdom. He said the Kingdom of God is at hand and he also said the kingdom of God is within you. He sent his disciples to go and preach the kingdom of God to people. Before you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior the kingdom is at hand staring at you but as soon as you accept him the kingdom is now within you because the Spirit of God that left has been restored back to you and it is now in your power to activate him and keep him working. As soon as the Spirit of God enters, man now has his original purpose and man is joyful because there is hope. It is an indescribable joy it happens to me when I gave my life to Christ and many people that I have led to Christ also share their experience with me. Friend, it is your time to experience the same strange joy; in case you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior do it now and remain blessed.

THE NEED FOR AGITATION

Matthew 11:12(And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence and the violent take it by force).

In the journey of life; to be free from the oppression of the devil, agitation is necessary. Without agitation there is no freedom. The children of Israel remained in captivity until they agitated for their freedom. The blind Bartimaeus agitated for his freedom from blindness and Jesus Christ set him free; his cry was so loud that Jesus Christ had to stop and attend to him. Matthew 10:48(And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me 52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way). We don’t need to carry guns in this kingdom to agitate for our freedom. The cry of faith is what we need to provoke heaven’s attention for our freedom.  Faith is our unmatchable weapon of freedom.  God said he has heard the cry of the children of Israel and that he will send Moses to go and deliver them from their slave master (Exodus 3:7-10). I don’t know what the enemy is using to tie you down; you need to agitate for your freedom. The children of Israel were supposed to be in captivity for four hundred years according to the word of God but they end up staying for four hundred and thirty years (Genesis 15:13 and Exodus 12:40). Without agitation they would have remained there forever. The Jews that were carried away in captivity to Babylon were supposed to be free in seventy years according to the word of God, Daniel remembered and agitated for their freedom by embarking on 21 days prayer and fasting (Jeremiah 29:10 and Daniel 9:2-3). We have so many examples in the bible where they said and God remembers. Does it mean that God forgot His word? No, may be He thought the individual was enjoying his or her situation. Hannah agitates for her freedom from barrenness and God opens her womb. Rachel agitated, she said give me children or else I die and God remembered Rachel and opened her womb; the scripture said that God closes her womb but yet Rachel has to cry for her womb to be open (Genesis 29:31, 30:22). The ten lepers cried to Jesus for their cleansing and they were cleansed. A close mouth is a close destiny. Life will not hand over what is yours to you without putting up a fight. The kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the violent take by force, agitation is very necessary. The violence of faith is what we need to be free from oppression of the devil. You have to know what God has said concerning your situation and that will give an idea of when to agitate. If what you are seeing or experiencing is contrary to the word of God then agitation is must. The scripture said, our affliction is supposed to be for a while not forever; so anything that is of long continual is not of God. 2 Corinthian 4:17(For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory). God has given us faith as our weapon of warfare (2 Corinthians 10:4). The bible says Faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God. Daniel said He understood by book that they were to be set free after seventy years in captivity and because of his understanding he engages in warfare to agitate for their freedom and God answered him. All the answers that we need are in the bible if only we can find time to study. Your freedom answers to the level of your understanding; if you are ignorant of your situation you will be thinking that your experience is normal. Ask God to baptise you with the spirit of understanding. Jesus Christ came for our total and complete freedom; the bible says if the Son set you free you are free indeed. The first step to your total freedom is to accept Jesus as your Lord and savior in case you have not and your freedom will be guaranteed.

THE VALLEY OF DECISION AND GOD’S ORDAINED RESCUING AGENT

Joel 3:13(Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come get you down for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. 14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision).

Revelation 14:14(And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap: for the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped).

The believers are God’s rescuing agent who are ordained to rescue those who are in the valley of decision. The Angels and the Holy Ghost are also His reapers. He created us in His own image, we are all here to do His work and our primary assignment as a believer is to rescue others from going into the deep. The valley of decision has swallowed many people, they were unable to make it out alive but that will not be your portion in the name of Jesus. Jesus Christ is the one sitting on the cloud and we are the sickle in his hand. That’s why he said to his disciples to go into the Nations and preach the gospel. Matthew 28:19(Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen). The Angel told the master reaper to trust in his sickle; Jesus Christ is the master reaper and we are his sickle of harvest. We are His ambassador and our Job is to do his work here on earth (2Corithians 5:20). He said as the Father has sent him, He also has sent us, to do what, to reap the harvest of the multitudes that are in the valley of decision (John 20:21). Moses was sent as a rescuing agent to rescue the children of Israel from captivity and then lead them to their Promised Land. Jesus came to rescue humanity from satanic bondage, reconcile us to God and then show us the way to our promised land. He is the way and the truth. He was slain for us to receive our seven fold redemptive package (Revelation 5:12). The people in the valley of decision are looking for the way and Jesus Christ is the way and the truth. Our Job is very simple; we are to introduce them to the way by telling them the truth. The rich man who died and went to hell was begging father Abraham to send Lazarus to his brothers here on earth for them to change their ways and follow the truth, Father Abraham’s respond to him was that his brothers has Moses and the prophets to listen to so there is no need to send anybody from heaven to them (Luke 16:24-31). You don’t need to force your message on anyone, the bible describes the multitudes in the valley of decision as the ripe souls ready to be harvested. They need direction badly; they are ready to be rescued. You have been empowered to do the Job because he says in Mark 16:15(And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17And these sign shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues). So, what are you waiting for, go quickly to the highways and hedges and gather the multitudes unto God before the enemies get to them. Luke 14:23(And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled). Are you in the valley of decision, you don’t need to be there anymore; Jesus is offering you an opportunity to believe in His name and be saved by praying this salvation prayer below.

Lord Jesus, I come to you today, I am a sinner, and I cannot help myself, forgive me my sins, and cleanse me with your precious blood. Deliver me from sin and Satan to serve the living God. Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and savior. Now I know I am Born Again, Amen.

TURNING POINT

Joel 3:13(Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come get you down for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. 14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision).

The turning point is a point of decision; it is called the valley of decision, it is a critical junction that we may encounter as an individual in the journey of life. At this point the decision has to be made whether you like it or not because no one can remain there forever that’s why it is called the turning point. The question is where are you turning to? It is a very critical point because whatever we do will determine where we will spend our eternity; we have two options: hell or heaven. Some of us might have gotten to this point in life that you know that you have got to a point of turning. There are many options available to the individual. It is just that it is very confusing. That's why a decision has to be made whether you like it or not. The bible says that multitudes are at this point because the end is near. Oh my God, these multitudes need to be saved, they need guidance, they need divine direction; we can’t allow them to perish. Many started their journey on the right path but later wandered away while some had been on the wrong path all their life. No matter how far you have gone in the wrong path you cannot get to your destination. At any point you realize that you have been on a wrong path is your turning point and you need to make a decision whether to continue on the wrong path and be wasted or turn to the right path and be saved. We are here for a purpose and that purpose cannot be achieved in the wrong place. The Israelite encountered so many obstacles on their way to the Promised Land but because they were on the right path they arrived at their destination even though they were delayed due to their own making. Obstacles are an inevitable part of our journey; you just have to know who to turn to when you are confronted with them. The children of Israel know exactly who to cry to whenever they are confused. God was with them all the way and they were able to get to their destination and possess their possession. You can’t afford to be stuck in one place or get discouraged and go back to Egypt because going back to Egypt is dangerous. Your oppressor will multiply your burden times seven. At the red sea, they cried unto Moses and The LORD told Moses to tell the children of Israel to move forward (Exodus 14:13-15). The decision was to enter the sea because something has to be done. It is either you trust God and enter the red sea to continue your journey or turn to Pharaoh and continue in bondage, but that will not be you in Jesus name. At a point they were going round in a circle and God said to them “Enough is enough” it is time to move on, turn you and take your journey towards the mount of Amorites(Deuteronomy 1:7). That’s the beauty of being on the Lord's side, He will always lead you through the part of righteousness to glorify His name and you cannot perish by following Him (Psalms 23:3). Friends, you may not be in the valley of decision because you are saved but there are many unsaved souls out there that need direction; the bible says that multitudes are in the valley of decision, they need help, and they don’t know what to do or which way to turn. You and I are God’s rescuing agent that’s why we need to get to them before something goes wrong in their lives. Being in the valley of decision can be very frustrating, many have committed suicide and great destiny has been destroyed just because somebody refuse to carry out his or her assignment but that will not be you in Jesus name. Many have died of high blood pressure because they don’t know what to do. We are the reaper and God said we should put in our sickle of harvest because the harvest is ripe and ready. God wants us to draw those multitudes that are in the valley of decision to His kingdom. The prodigal son makes a wise decision and returns to his father (Luke 15:11-32). The only person that you can turn to at this point is God. He is always there to lead and direct you; all you have to do is cry for help; He is always eager to receive us when we genuinely come to Him. In case you are in the valley of decision, you don’t need to be there anymore, permit me to point and introduce you to the way; Jesus Christ is the way (John 14:6). Take a bold step today and follow him by praying this salvation prayer below and be blessed in Jesus name.
