FAITH BOOSTERS: PART 2

Life is a journey and everyone that has passed through life has embarked on this journey no matter who the person is; which means the same road that you are going through some one has passed there before you. The bible which is the manufacturer’s manual is full of the account of those who have passed through the journey of life. God recorded their experience in order for us to be successful in our journey; that’s why he told Joshua not to ever allow the book to depart from him because his success lies in the book (Joshua 1:8). Even here on earth, on a daily basis people are given the account of their encounter with God and the resultant effect. The resultant effect of every genuine encounter with God is testimony; that’s what makes testimony a faith booster. The testimony of others can boost our faith; because testimony has capacity to reproduce itself. Hebrews 11:6(But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is the rewarder of them that diligently seek him). How does God reward them that diligently seek him? He answers those who believe and trust in Him with proof. There are those who have put their confidence in God by doing what God asked them to do and they have proof to show that it pays to trust God and to do exactly what He asks us to do. The examples of them are: Noah, he was moved to build an ark by faith and his action saves the human race. Abraham sacrificed Isaac, his only promised son that he waited for 25 years to receive because he said God can give him back, he trusted God completely and God rewarded him with generational blessings which we are part of today (Hebrews 11:7,17-19) (Genesis 22:1-18). The woman with the issue of blood believes in her heart that touching Jesus Christ’s garment will make her whole and she was healed. Matthew 9:21(For she said within herself If I may but touch his garment I shall be made whole). Her testimony produces other testimonies. The testimony of the faithfulness of God in the life of others is a booster for someone else's faith. The people who heard the testimony of the woman with the issue of blood did the same thing and were healed. Matthew 4:36(And besought him that they might touch his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole). As an individual when I gave my life to Christ, I really don’t know how to pray much but I believe in the testimony of others from the altar. Thank God for our church. They always emphasize on what the challenge is, the step you took and the result; so I keyed into the one that seems like what I needed and do the same thing, and guess what I got the same result. Those testimonies boost my faith that if God could do it for them he can do it for me also because I am His daughter too. Jesus Christ passes through life and he has testimonies. Revelation 19:10(And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, see thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy). The more of the testimony of Jesus you have the more boosted your faith will be and those challenges will only bow to your faith. Let your bible be your companion and take responsibility. I am sure somebody's faith has been boosted and he or she wants to put it in action by accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and saviour. Here is the opportunity you have been waiting for; your waiting is over in Jesus name.

Lord Jesus, I come to you today, I am a sinner, and I cannot help myself, forgive me my sins, and cleanse me with your precious blood. Deliver me from sin and Satan to serve the living God. Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and saviour. Now I know I am Born Again, Amen.

MAKING A ROOM FOR JESUS

Luke 2:4(And Joseph also went up from Galilee out of the city of Nazareth into Judaea unto the city of David which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife being great with child 6 And so it was, that while they were there the day accomplished that she should be delivered 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son and wrapped him in a swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger; because there was no room in the inn).

Our heart is the connecting link between us and God and Jesus Christ came to reconnect us to God. There was no room for him in the inn when he was born because he wants to live in everyone’s heart. He wants to live in you and reach out to others through you. There is no better time to invite him than this Christmas season. Please don’t keep him outside forever, He want to live in you. He is a symbol of Love; Love was actually born on Christmas day. If you want to know the meaning of love; then study the life style of Jesus. Jesus Christ is the definition of Love. John 15:12(This is my commandment That ye love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 Ye are my friends if ye do whatsoever I command you). He was born outside so that you and I can be born inside; He was poor so that through his poverty we can be rich. Love is sacrificial; there is no convenient time to give; it is a commandment and it is an act of showing love to one another. Jesus Christ says that whatsoever you do for the needy you do it for him (Matthew 25:34-46). Matthew 8:20(And Jesus saith unto him, the foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head). If Jesus lives in you there will be no place for crisis because he is call the prince of peace, there will be no place for sickness, failure, lack and want, and every other works of darkness. Revelation 3:20(Behold I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to sup with him and he with me). Friends, in case you have not prepared a room for him in your heart, do it today and let him live in you forever.

Lord Jesus, I come to you today, I am a sinner, and I cannot help myself, forgive me my sins, and cleanse me with your precious blood. Deliver me from sin and Satan to serve the living God. Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and savior. Now I know I am Born Again, Amen.

FAITH BOOSTERS: PART 1

Life is a race and just like in every other race it can be weary at times and that’s why we need faith booster in order to sustain our stamina. Faith is our confidence in God expressed by our action; our trust in God needs to be backed up with our action in order to produce our desired result. Every one described in the bible to be a man and woman of faith expressed their confidence and trust in God by their action. The bible said without faith it is impossible to please God; that makes faith the basis of our Christianity life. Hebrews 11:6(But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is the rewarder of them that diligently seek him). If Faith is that important in our life as a believer; that means our faith needs to be developed. Every one of us has a deposit of faith in us as a believer because your faith is what makes you believe in the son of God. John 1:12(But as many as received him to them he gave them power to become the sons of god even to them that believe on his name). Without faith you will not be moved to give your life to Christ; so you have faith but your faith needs reinforcement. Small faith equals zero faith because it lacks power to produce the result that we may want to see in our lives. Faith is our spiritual currency in the kingdom because it is to you according to your level of Faith (Matthew 9:29), just like the Nation’s economy need to grow in order for their currency to be valuable; as a believer if we want our faith to produce mega result we need to boost it; in this case the word of God is the number one booster of our faith. The bible said faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). Before we give our lives to Christ we first of all heard about him and believe in him; which is the first step in this race of destiny and to get to our destination we need to continue in the word to boost our faith. In every step of the way as we continue in the race there are obstacles and so many other things that can weaken our faith in order to stop us but the only thing that can save us is our trust in the one leading us. The one leading said he will never leave us nor forsake us. That word alone can boost someone's faith but we need to continue to feed on the word of God in order to be able to move forwards in life. For every challenge there is a word to counter it but if you did not know about it you cannot move forward and you will think there is no provision for you concerning that challenge. When the disciples were confronted with the storm Jesus Christ did not say they don’t have, he said “o ye of little faith” but they overcame because the word of God himself was there to calm the storm (Matthew 8:26). Friends, strengthen your faith by feeding on the word of God because as your physical body needs food to develop; your faith also needs food to grow and one of the best foods you can give to your faith is the word of God. The word of God said that if you have faith as small as mustard seed it will remove the mountain (Matthew 17:20); that is how powerful the force of faith is. So, friends, it is time to take responsibility for building up your faith because that mountain standing in your way that refuses to let you go, it is your faith that can remove it. For the mountain of sickness the word of God said that Jesus took away our sickness which means it is no longer there so all you have to do is to believe in what the word said and ignore the lies of the devil and in a little while you will not feel the symptom again. The bible says you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free and the word of God is true and Jesus Christ is the word of God (John 8:32, John 3:33, John 1:1-3). So, the more of Jesus you have in you the greater your faith to move that mountain. I see you on the top in Jesus name. God rewards them that diligently seek Him; as you make up your mind to seek Him from today your reward will be visible for all to see in Jesus name. Your life cannot be complete without Jesus Christ because the bible he is the word of God. Your life cannot be better except someone better than you enter into your life and who is better than Jesus. This message today is an invitation for you to allow him into your life; please don’t ignore the invitation in case you have not known him; this is the best time to know him and be free forever.

A TOUCH OF FAITH (THE WOMAN WITH THE ISSUE OF BLOOD)

Luke 8:46(And Jesus said, somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me).

Our faith is a spiritual currency that we use to draw virtue from God; it is to us according to our faith (Matthew 9:29). It is the word that you hear, and believe, and put into action that delivers your expectation into your hand (John 1:12). You are only empowered to become what you receive, believe and put to work. The woman with the issue of blood received and believed the word of healing and put the word to work and she was made whole of her disease.  The woman with the issue of blood did not just move with faith to do what she did and received her deliverance; she first heard about the miracle of Jesus that he heals and delivers people from all manner of disease and sickness. She was suffering from an affliction that has empty her resources yet refuses to let her go. But the testimonies of others brought about her faith that we are talking about today. Mark 5:25(And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years. 26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had. And was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, 27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind and touched his garment. 28 For she said, if I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. 29 And straightway the fountain of her blood dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plaque. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? 34 And he said unto her daughter thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plaque). She heard the word, she believed the word and she put the word into action by touching Jesus Christ’s garment. Everyone touches Jesus but she was the only person that draws virtue by her faith. Jesus Christ felt the Faith of that woman; so God is waiting for you to touch Him with your Faith concerning that issue of your life and you will have a change of story in Jesus name. Her case lasted for twelve years, I don’t how longer you have been in that issue but by your touch of faith, it is coming to end today in Jesus name. James 1:25(But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty and continueth therein he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man is blessed in his deed). God can only bless the word you put in practice; that woman was blessed by her action. Romans 10:17(So the Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God). The word is still going forth every second; God is still speaking it is your decision whether to receive it and believe or not. There is a word of salvation, healing and prosperity going forth every day, just key into anyone you need and purchase them by your faith. If faith comes by hearing the word of God, which means we need more of His word in us to build up our faith. The word of God is what gives value to the currency called Faith. Friends, be the one to touch Jesus with your faith today and receive answers to that issue of concerns in your life in Jesus name. The first step towards touching Him is salvation, in case you have not received Him as your Lord and saviour, do it quickly and be free in Jesus name.

THE IMPOTENT MAN AT POOL OF BETHESDA

In the journey of life we may find ourselves in a cross road but what we do to get ourselves out is more important. Your situation should not make you powerless; you need to rise above your situation and looking inward at times will help you get on your feet. Before shifting blame you need an inward assessment of your life and find out which area of your life you need to work on in order to achieve your goal. The impotent man at the pool of Bethesda was said to have been in his situation for 38 years; he was unable to help himself, he was powerless and ineffective; his faith was ineffective and his character was offensive to everyone around him; no wonder he was unable to make it to the pool for years. He was in the same situation and at the same spot for a very long time but that will not be you in Jesus name; you are moving forward by the mercy of God upon your life in Jesus name. It was obvious that he truly needed help that is why Jesus approached him; but his character is what kept people away from him. Our character can be an impediment that chases helpers away from us and only Jesus can help such individuals. He was not the only sick person at the pool but he was the only person described as impotent because he was the only one looking helpless; that his attitude contributed to his long stay in that particular spot.  John 5:5(And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years 6 When Jesus saw him lie and knew that he had been now a longtime in that case, he saith unto him wilt thou be made whole? 7 the impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me 8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk  And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed and walked: and on the same day was the Sabbath). He was close to his miracle but yet he could not receive it; his solution was in front of him but he remained in that situation for 38 years, what an irony? Most times people find themselves in this kind of situation; that’s why we need to constantly search ourselves to know where the problem lies. In the case of the impotent man at the pool he was his own problem. First, he refuses to let go of offence, unforgiveness is a burden and you need to drop it in order to move fast and get to the pool before any other person. Secondly, He was a complainer in chief, everyone was his problem. He thought people were meant to help him and since they did not, he is now offended by them. Complaining only complicates your matter, it does not help anyone and God hate it. Those who complain in the wilderness were destroyed (1 Corinthians 10:10). Thirdly, he was carrying a heavy burden of sin; he loved it so much that he refused to let it go. When Blind Bartimaeus encountered Jesus, he cried for mercy and quickly dropped his burden and ran fast to receive his sight (Mark 10:46-52). But the impotent man was hugging his burden and complicating it by complaining and adding more loads. The impotent man assumed that he was righteous and that kept him in the same spot. He was a slave that loves his chain; he love that sin so much that he was not bothered that he has been in the same situation for 38 years. How did I know? Jesus Christ asked if he would be made whole and instead of jumping for the opportunity he began to shift blame on those who refused to help him; even after he was made whole, Jesus found him again in the temple gathering sin; hear what he told him. John 5:14(Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple and said unto him behold thou art made whole: sin no more lest a worse thing come unto thee). When you are set free you don’t go back to your vomit, you separate yourself. The pool of opportunity is staring at you but yet you can’t jump in because of the heavy burden that you are carrying; now it is time to drop it at the feet of Jesus and move forward. The only saving grace the impotent man has was that he recognizes that he needs help is just that  he does not have what it requires to get human help but Jesus Christ helped him; he will help you today in Jesus name. Here is the good news; Jesus is the pool of Bethesda; He is all you need to get all your desire met and He is standing right in front of you asking you the same question, would you be made whole? Your response will determine whether you will move forward or not. The choice is yours; I know you will make the right choice today by accepting him as your Lord and savior and be safe forever.

THE POOL OF BETHESDA: JOHN 5:2-9, MATTHEW 4:23-25, ACT 10:38

Jesus Christ is our pool of Bethesda; it was described in the scripture as a healing and deliverance virtues. It heals and cures all manners of disease and sickness but with a condition that anyone that first steps into the pool when the Angel comes to stir the water shall be made whole. The word of God is our spiritual stirrer that stirs up our faith in order to draw virtue from God for healing and deliverance. John 5:2(Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. 3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. 4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had). It requires faith and laying down of burden for one to get to the pool because with the conditions attached, if you are carrying a burden and heavy load you will not make it to the pool on time. Our willingness to accept Jesus Christ and to lay down our burden for Him is the major requirement; so our faith in Christ is the number one requirement to draw the virtue we need for our miracles. When Jesus Christ arrives at the scene the only requirement is our willingness for him to help us. He is the pool Bethesda himself, the river that never runs dry. He is all season, anytime you are ready He is ever ready. That’s why He asked the impotent man at the pool, would you be made whole? This means do you want to be healed now because the pool is now in front of you and you don’t need anyone’s help. Jesus Christ is the only help you need and if you can secure His help He will cause others to help you. The arrival of Jesus Christ makes things easy for the Jews who believe in Him because they don’t need to wait for the season to come before they receive their healing and deliverance. Jesus Christ presents Himself to the people as the pool of Bethesda who went about healing all manners of sickness. Matthew 4:23(And Jesus went about all Galilee teaching in their Synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people). The pool was now walking around in their midst healing them, no more stress, it was one on one encounter. Jesus Christ is still the same yesterday, today and forever; the same way He asked the impotent man at the pool whether he wants to be made whole, He is asking you today whether you want to be made whole. The man was there in one spot for 38 years, I don't know how many years you have suffered in that affliction, It doesn’t matter, what is important now is your willingness to accept Him and let Him help you. Psalm 107:18(Their soul abhorred all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death 19 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. 20 He sent his word and healed them and delivered them from their destruction). Jesus Christ is the word of God and as you receive His word right now your freedom is guaranteed in Jesus name. Friends, you don’t need to die in that trouble because the savior is right in front of you and all you need to do is to cry for help. The Lord will hear your cry today in Jesus name. He saved and delivered them; that means without salvation our deliverance will not be guaranteed. Here is another opportunity to be saved, in case you have not received Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, do it now and be saved forever in Jesus name.
