THE POWER OF CHOICE : EXAMPLE OF MARY AND MARTHA

THE POWER OF CHOICE: EXAMPLE OF MARY AND MARTHA, LUKE 10:38-41 In the journey of life, there are many things seeking for our attention. What we choose to do or give our attention to is what will determine our result and where we spend eternity after our journey here on earth. Both in our career, Business and our walk with God. May the Lord help us to make the right choice in Jesus name. The decision to choose between good and bad is absolutely on us; God has left that for you and me. But He advices us to choose life so that we can live, Deuteronomy 30:19, John 6:63 (It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profited nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life). God can only guide us if we allow Him. The two sisters in our text today, Mary and Martha were faced with choices in their relationship with Jesus. Martha chose to entertain Jesus with special delicacies while Mary on the hand chose to sit at his feet to hear his word. The choices seem important and necessary to me but not with Jesus. Jesus told Martha in Luke 10:41-42, that she worries too much. That one thing is needed and Mary has chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. Matt 6:33 paraphrasing (Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and every other thing shall be added unto you). That’s how to get Jesus Christ on our side, just like Mary. There is time for everything (Ecc 3:1). Jesus was not always with them; his visit was an opportunity for them to hear the word that would help them in the journey of life. May the Lord help us to focus on the thing that matter most in Jesus name. Jesus Christ visited Mary and Martha because they had close relationship with him. He loves us so much that he went to the cross to save us. If you have not accepted him as your Lord and savior. This is your chance, accept him and let him guide you. Lord Jesus, I come to you today, I am a sinner, I cannot help myself, forgive me my sins, cleanse me with your precious blood. Deliver me from sin and Satan to serve the living God. Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and saviour. Now I know, I am Born Again, I am free! Amen. #womanyouarefree neneisahoc@gmail.com
