Opposition is part of life; the only people with no opposition are those not planning to go anywhere. As long as you embark on this great journey expect opposition. Proper use of a compass will direct you on how to sail against the wind; that is, you will keep moving despite the opposition. Only well-trained and equipped sailors will try to challenge the wind. What many see as impossible becomes possible if you dare to stand against all odds. You are already in the middle of the ocean and turning back may not even be as safe as you think. In this kind of situation, you will be left with only two options which are life or death. Choosing life means you will give the devil a fight to the finish; you need the heart of a Lion to survive this kind of challenge but because your Father is the Lion of the tribe of Judah you have no problem. Because as he is, so you are in this world (1 John 4:17); you are more than a conqueror; look inward because the power you need to win this battle is inside you.
Luke 8:23 But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. 24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. Luke 8:25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith?
The sudden wind that arises in the middle of the ocean is asking you a question; he is saying where is your faith? That devil is challenging your trust in God and your ability to resist him. All the cheerleaders might have given up on you but you don't need to give up on yourself if you can see God by your side. In this race of destiny, you don't need cheerleaders; the only accolade you need is from Christ himself. The road will look deserted but if you can see God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit walking with you, you will keep smiling even when others think you have lost your sense. There was a time in my life when the wind was so strong and intimidating but the only voice I kept hearing was the voice of Jesus, and it was very clear and assuring. He says, Focus on me; very short and sweet; Focus on me, morning, afternoon, and evening; I kept hearing the same word. When you learn how to stand on His word you will be the best sailor in this journey of life; the enemies know it and that is why he doesn't want you to study the word; even when you hear the word he will want you to forget or disobey the instruction.
That storm is not your friend, and he has no respect for anyone; the only language the storm understands is Faith. Storm connotes fear; the devil knows he cannot defeat you except he can get you to the point of being afraid; you cannot conquer what you are afraid of. The irony of life is that what you are afraid of is also afraid of you if you can turn around and confront it. The devil does not want to engage in the headlong collision; he will shift if you continue to press the pedal.
The Holy Spirit is our compass as we continue to sail despite all the opposition; He is called the wind of the Holy Ghost; He will give you the proper guide on how to conquer the wind and move forward to do the impossible.
John 3:7 (Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit).
To understand the language of the storm you need to become the wind yourself and you can only do that by giving your life to Jesus. Becoming the wind makes it impossible for the enemy to stop you because they will not know the direction you are going to go. Friends, do you have Jesus in your boat? If your answer is NO, then what are you waiting for, hurry up and invite him to sail with you by praying this salvation prayer below
Lord Jesus, I come to you today, I am a sinner, and I cannot help myself, forgive me my sins, and cleanse me with your precious blood. Deliver me from sin and Satan to serve the living God. Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and saviour. Now I know I am Born Again, Amen.
