Luke 4:43 And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent
Without zeal, no assignment will see the light of day. We are here on assignment, but our determination to fulfil our purpose here on earth brings about our success and makes us stand out among others. Every successful man and woman is passionate about their assignment. We are responsible for the outcome of our lives; what you make out of life is what you put into it. It is Garbage in, Garbage out. You cannot plant an orange seed and expect to harvest an apple; it is impossible. Our success in this journey is tied to our level of determination. It is a fruit that you have to bear by yourself because there is a limit to which people can push you to do things for yourself.
Determination means having the mentality that I must do it, I must get it right, it is a mentality of a successful man and woman. It means having a sense of purpose. Determination is the ability to focus on the goals until the desired result is achieved. It means pushing yourself beyond your limit; that is, going beyond your strength, defying your weakness, and reaching out to help beyond humans. When you use the phrase I MUST, you are daring the obstacle, you are telling the mountain, you can't stop me, and I don't care about you. You are telling the host of heaven that you are ready for the journey.
WHEN THE DEVIL HEARS THE WORD ¨I MUST, ¨ HE WILL CLEAR OFF YOUR WAY, HE WILL KNOW THAT THERE IS A BATTLE. HE WILL SAY THAT YOU ARE A MAD MAN AND THAT NOTHING CAN STOP YOU. HE WILL GRUDGINGLY HOLD THE LADDER FOR YOUR SUCCESS
WHEN GOD HEAR YOU SAY, I MUST ACCOMPLISH THIS TASK THAT GOD HAS GIVEN TO ME, HE WILL MOBILIZE HIS ANGELS TO HELP YOU.
Here is what Jesus says about his assignment
Luke 2:49 (And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?)
So, right from a tender age, Jesus Christ knew what his assignment was, and he was determined to fulfil it, and that was why he began to learn at the feet of the doctors of the law. He acquired all the necessary knowledge needed for the fulfillment of his assignment. (Luke 13:33, John 9:4).
John 10:16 (And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. 17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
He was saying that this assignment of bringing other sheep will need him to lay down his life, but he must do it. He put himself under an oath; he saw his assignment as a necessity. He struggled to go to the cross, and he went because he was determined; he pushed himself beyond his limit, and he received help from above to accomplish the task. Luke 22:42 (Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. 43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. 44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground).
Because of his determination, even when he was weak and needed food after forty days of prayer and fasting in the wilderness, the devil could not trap him with food. Friends, that is the power of determination. The help you need will not come until you are determined to fulfil your assignment. Jesus received Angelic help after he had defeated the devil, but you are looking for Angelic help before the battles.
Matthew 4:11 (Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him).
Friends, have you found out what your real assignment is? Meanwhile, every one of us as a bonafide child of God has a common assignment, which is our primary assignment here on earth. We are to partner with Christ in reconciling the world with God (2 Corinthians 5:17-20, Mark 16:15-20). We have been ordained to bring the other sheep, which are not of the same fold as us, yet. A call that almost everyone has abandoned. Friends, I don't know how far you have pushed, but if you will push beyond your limit in that area of your call, the help you need will come, in Jesus' name. Jesus, finish his assignment, you shall finish yours in Jesus' name (John 19:30). Say to yourself, I must do the work that I was sent to this world to do.
If you are not a child of God, your cry will not attract his help, and you will keep labouring in vain. Jesus Christ got heaven's attention because he had a connection with heaven. But I have good news for you, Jesus Christ is ready to help you achieve your purpose if you will surrender your life to him. Please quickly make up your mind and pray this salvation prayer below and be blessed, in Jesus' name.
Lord Jesus, I come to you today. I am a sinner, and I cannot help myself. Forgive me my sins, and cleanse me with your precious blood. Deliver me from sin and Satan to serve the living God. Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and saviour. Now I know I am Born Again. Amen.
