THE POWER OF DETERMINATION PART 2

1 Corinthians 9:16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

Determination is a compelling force that pushes people to do things that ordinarily they may not have been able to accomplish. When people begin to use the phrase Ï MUST, ¨ everyone around them will know they are serious. I MUST, it means necessity; every assignment has to be pursued with a sense of necessity. It means putting yourself under obligation.

We are not here on earth to occupy space or waste time; we are here for a purpose. If you are not in his plan, you will not be here because there will be no need for you to be born in the first place. Our God is very intentional in his work, and you are perfectly made to fit the purpose for which you were created. However, many have missed that particular purpose they were created for and are busy elsewhere doing things that are not related to their assignment. Some have discovered their assignment, but they were unable to run the race to the finish line because of a lack of determination.

The level of our achievement in life is a function of determination; am I saying there will be no challenges, NO, every great destiny is accompanied by serious challenges and persecution, but it is our determination that will compel the forces to work in our favour. You can wear out Satan if you are determined to do it. James 4:7 (Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you).

Recently. I begin to meditate on the phrase (I MUST) and the Holy Spirit walks me through the New Testament. I realize that the only two people who imbibe the I MUST phrase in their lexicon in line with their assignment were Jesus Christ and Paul the Apostle. I quickly adopted it as part of my lexicon. I said to myself, No wonder, despite all the persecution, Paul was able to run his race to the finish line.

Our case study in part one of this article was Jesus, and now we are using Paul the Apostle as a case study.

Acts 18:21 But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus.

You can manifest your destiny; you can finish the race with your crown firmly on your head; all you need is I MUST end it well mentality. Determination is the key to a successful race. Paul the Apostle was a zealous man, and he ran his race to the finish line.

Acts 19:21 After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.

He eventually got to Jerusalem, and he was beaten. People put themselves under oath to kill him, but they did not succeed (Acts 23:12). Jesus Christ reassured him that he would not die and that he would get to Rome. Acts 23:11 (And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome).

He put himself under an oath to achieve his purpose here on earth; today, his work is still speaking. Friends, if you want your work to keep speaking here on earth even while you are in heaven, you need the I MUST mentality. Until you put yourself under an oath like Paul, you will not know the limit to what you can achieve. 2 Timothy 4:7 (I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing). That shall be your testimony, in Jesus' name. You will end your race well, in Jesus' name. The question is, do you love his appearance? Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus? If you have not started your journey with him. Do it now by praying this salvation prayer below and be blessed, in Jesus' name

Lord Jesus, I come to you today. I am a sinner, and I cannot help myself. Forgive me my sins, and cleanse me with your precious blood. Deliver me from sin and Satan to serve the living God. Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and saviour. Now I know I am Born Again. Amen.
