DON´T USE YOUR TALENT WRONGLY

1 Kings 11:1 But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites; 2 Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love. 11 Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.

In our last articles, we spoke about striving to be a functional body of Christ to avoid being cut off. One thing we need to be aware of is avoiding being effective in the wrong place or in doing the wrong things. Doing the wrong thing and not doing anything at all have a similar punishment in this kingdom, and that is the irony of it.

Matthew 25:30 (And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth).

Luke 19:26 (For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him. 27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me).

Those who said the Lord should not rule over them and those who hide the talent given to them by the master face the same punishment. We belong to a sensitive kingdom, and we need to handle everything with care and wisdom. God took the kingdom away from King Solomon because he stopped using his gift to glorify God. Understanding who we are as a body of Christ and what we are to do with what God has given us is key to a successful journey in life. Your awareness that Satan did not create anything, and does not have anything to offer you other than wickedness is the beginning of your victory in this journey. You cannot afford to serve Satan with the talent that God gave to you, knowingly or unknowingly; that will be a spiritual suicide. God describes Jacob, Joseph, David, Moses, King Saul, Sarah, and Queen Esther with their looks, that is to show how intentional our God is (Genesis 39:6, 1 Samuel 16:12, Esther 2:7). He knew the assignment, and he has given you everything you need to fulfill your purpose, including how you look. Joseph did not misuse his body; in fact, he preserved himself for the assignment. God told Jeremiah that before he formed him in his mother's womb, he knew him and created him for a purpose (Jeremiah 1:5). He did the same thing with Gideon. You are not a biological accident; channel whatever God has given to you towards doing the right thing, and your profit will be obvious for everyone to see, in Jesus'' name. Don't misuse your talent like Solomon. Their error was written for us to learn from; find out from your creator, what is my job? A time came when I was worried about my soft voice as a minister; the Lord explained to me the reason for my soft voice, even though I was destined to be a minister, and I began to laugh at myself because I knew exactly what he was talking about. When he wanted me to work on my voice, he told me what I needed to do. He is an intentional God and very humorous. Every gift He gives to you complements each other so that everything will work perfectly to His glory. Don't become a problematic part of the body of Christ; learn how to be a profitable part of his body by using your gift in the right way. Your extraordinary strength should be channeled towards serving God; your wisdom and knowledge should be used to serve him and not to work against Him. Friends, everything that you need to become who God has destined you to be is inside of you, and you are not less privileged, so look deep inside of you and you will find it, and when you do, please use it to glorify Him, and your rewards will be obvious for all to see.

The master only distributes talents to his people. The question is, are you a member of his household? Do you have a relationship with Jesus? If your answer is no, then quickly say yes to his call right now by praying this salvation prayer below and receive your pounds, in Jesus' name.

Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and accept You as my Lord and Saviour. I believe you died for me to make me a new man/woman. Forgive me all my sins, wash me with your blood, and give me a new heart. Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul. Now I believe I am born again. And I am a child of God. Amen!
