Distraction is an inevitable part of our journey in life; how you handle it when it comes your way is what will determine your result. The adversary of your race is tagging you, but how would you react to his attention? Satan, your number one enemy, is an attention seeker, and he loves to stay where he is celebrated. You need to master how to handle him and put him where he belongs, and move quickly. When you are complaining or murmuring against God, you are celebrating Satan without knowing it.
Discouragement is one of Satan's scorecards; please don't let him play a game on you. You are too spiritually equipped to fall for his tricks. Redemption has given you everything you need to overcome him; you are more than a conqueror, and you shall be celebrated in the name of Jesus. Jesus did not say we would not face challenges, but he spoke about our victory. He said that he has overcome all the challenges, and we would also overcome. John 16:33 (These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world).
Exodus 14:13 (And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more for ever. 14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. 15 And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward):
The Lord told Moses to move forward; your victory is in front of you and not at your back; only those who confront their fear by moving forward can see the salvation of the Lord, which is their victory. Know for sure that the dog will bark, the lion will roar, but your reaction is what will silence all of them and get them out of your way. It is too late to turn back; you have come too far. That is all the more reason you need to face that challenge and get it off your back. The mountain can still skip, but you need to confront it headlong. This is not the time to faint; get up and continue moving. The journey is too far. I believe this message is for someone who is thinking of quitting; the Lord is saying to you, my daughter, my son, keep moving, your victory is near.
Friends, before you think of stopping or even turning back, please take a look at where you are coming from; where you are right now, and the distance you have covered since you began this journey with God, and it will be very clear to you that going back is not an option at all. A good assessment of your journey will help you to cope with discouragement; every obstacle is overcomeable if you can continue to fix your eyes on Jesus, who is the author and finisher of our faith.
Hebrews 12:2 (Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds).
Friends, please don't go back and forth; be intentional about your steps. Going back and forth will not get you anywhere. Have you been wavering? The Lord is saying to you that it is time to stand still and let him fight for you. God does not fight for a stranger; you need to consciously invite Him into your life by saying Yes to Jesus, praying this salvation prayer below, and be blessed in Jesus' name.
Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and accept You as my Lord and Saviour. I believe you died for me to make me a new man/woman. Forgive me all my sins, wash me with your blood, and give me a new heart. Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul. Now I believe I am born again. And I am a child of God. Amen!
