The victory you cannot conceive you cannot become; if it is too big for you to imagine, then you cannot become it, that is the painful truth. If you are not pregnant, you cannot be expecting a baby; the expectant mother is the one who is pregnant. Some are free, but they are now held captive in their mind. Their thought pattern has not changed from that of slaves; we are no longer slaves to fear; Christ has rescued us, and we are now bonafide members of the household of God and entitled to everything that belongs to our father. The difference between the prodigal son and his obedient brother is their mentality. The prodigal son has a freedom mentality but does not utilize it in a manner that is profitable to him, while his brother has no freedom mentality. He has everything, yet he is complaining of not having access; meanwhile, everything belongs to him.
Luke 15:25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing. 26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. 27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. 28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him. 29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: 30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. 31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.
That is the situation of so many believers today: they have the key but are complaining about the access. His father has to remind him that everything he has is his, and no one puts a restriction on him. Imagine years of obedience and labouring, hoping one day his father will die and then he will inherit the throne. Little did he know that he had already been crowned. The prodigal son collects his own part of the inheritance and squanders it, and then comes back for more before the obedient brother realizes that everything belongs to him. If you don't change your mentality and take what belongs to you in redemption, then don't be envious of those who know their rights. Without understanding and knowledge, we may never know what is ours in redemption; if you do not use the information at your disposal, you will end up like those who have no access to information. The question every one of us needs to ask ourselves is: who am I in redemption? What is the reason for my redemption, and what is available for me as a redeemed of God? For example, the scripture says that Jesus Christ was slain for us to inherit seven things from him.
Revelation 5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
That is serious information; the next thing to do as a believer is to ask What do I need to do to lay hold of my own inheritance. What is the access code to each of these redemptive packages, because if it is automatic, every born-again child of God would have been rich? Your freedom comes with a package, and to unwrap it, you need the access code, which is embedded in every page of the scripture. We are complete in Christ, and for us to be his perfect image, we need to have a freedom mentality; a mentality of a son and a daughter of the King of kings. Saying yes to Jesus is the first step to living a life of freedom. When you do that, the gift will be given to you, and you can now start the process of unwrapping it through your commitment. I am glad to announce to anyone who has not said yes to Jesus that he is waiting for you with your package. Hurry up and receive yours by praying this salvation prayer below and be blessed, in Jesus name.
Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and accept You as my Lord and Saviour. I believe you died for me to make me a new man/woman. Forgive me all my sins, wash me with your blood, and give me a new heart. Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul. Now I believe I am born again. And I am a child of God. Amen!
