Matthew 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
The title of this message is not a mistake. Yes, when your midnight comes, the trumpet will sound, and only you will hear it. The cry will be meant for you alone to hear. The sound is to call you home to meet with the bridegroom, and your qualification is the light that you have generated throughout your time here on earth. The one who sent you here on assignment is going to come at midnight, and the trumpet is to tell you that your time is up, and that is your turn to meet the bridegroom; no excuse, you have to get up and leave. Just like the ten virgins, when their time comes, they wake up to meet the bridegroom. The question we all should ask ourselves is, were there only ten virgins in that city? The answer is no, but it was their time, it was their midnight cry.
You can't shy away from it; it is a reality, we are all here on assignment, and when we are done, we will definitely leave. God sent us here for a purpose, and it is our responsibility to find out what that purpose is and make it work. Jesus Christ is our example, and he walked here on earth for 33½ years. The midnight is not determined by age because everyone has an appointed time allotted to them by God, based on the nature of their assignment. Job 14:14 (If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come). So, it can happen any time, and any day, which is why one needs to be fully prepared and ready for the trumpet. The ten virgins were all ready until the spirit of slumber descended on them, and only five recovered from it, but the other five perished. What an irony.
When midnight comes, the Angel will tap you and say brother, sister, it is time to go; the bridegroom has arrived. You can't pretend to be sleeping because they will drag you or carry you by force. Among the things that will happen is that some people will have their light on, some will quickly put on their light because they still have oil in their lamp, some will have a lamp without oil, and some will have no lamp at all. Those who have a lamp without oil and those who have no lamp will be taken to the same side. So, there are four categories of people: three are virgins, while one is yet to be engaged to Jesus, but there is no difference between the virgin who has no oil in her lamp and the one who has no lamp at all.
The midnight is dark, and without light you won't be able to see clearly, and if you did not make it to the right side, then the devil would be waiting to welcome you to hell, but that will not be you, in Jesus name. Christ would say to the Angels at the gate of heaven, let the virgins who have their lamp on come in, because there is no room for darkness in heaven. You just need to have your light on. Friends, if you are waiting for the rapture before you give your life to Christ, you need to think again. When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour, he will give you a burning lamp; the responsibility to keep your lamp burning lies on you. The burning lamp is your engagement ring; it is the sign of your engagement with Jesus. To produce oil, you need to stay connected. The more oil you produce, the brighter and steadier your light will be. Without Christ, you will have no light in you, which means you are already heading to hell.
2 Corinthians 11:2 (For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ).
Friends, if you are reading this message right now and you have not accepted Jesus Christ´s proposal, you still have time to say yes to him before midnight. If you have given your life to Jesus, please examine yourself and be sure that your lamp is still burning. If not, please quickly reconnect to the olive tree by praying the salvation prayer below and be blessed, in Jesus name.
Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and accept You as my Lord and Saviour. I believe you died for me so that I could become a new man/woman. Forgive me all my sins, wash me with your blood, and give me a new heart. Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul. Now I believe I am born again. And I am a child of God. Amen!
