REFUSE TO BE COMFORTABLE IN THOSE CHAINS: MARK 10:46-52

Mark 10:47(And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth he began to cry out and say Jesus thou son of David, have mercy on me. 48 And they charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal thou Son of David, have mercy on me. 49a And Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called)

As we go through life, sometimes you may fill restricted, unable to move or take any step. This can be very frustrating. It is called satanic bondage. It varies depending on the circumstance. It may be sickness, addiction, depression, debt or poverty, etc. it can happen to anyone, it does not have respect for age or race. To get out of this kind of situation you need to hate it with passion. “What you don’t want you don’t watch, and what you don’t resist will remain” Bishop David Oyedepo. If you hate the chain, believe me you will be desperate for a solution. Blind Bartimaeus hated being blind and was desperate for a solution that even when they tried to shut him up as Jesus passed by, he shouted the more. He got Jesus attention and he was made whole and delivered from the bondage of blindness. The circumstance is beyond your power, you can’t set yourself free, if you can you would have done that a long time before now. But you can take responsibility, at least make a noise and get the attention of Jesus. Don’t let him pass you by. Jacob said in Genesis 32:26 I will not let you go except you bless me. Matthew 11:12(And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force). It is called the violence of faith and it takes desperation to get there. No matter how smart and intelligent you are if you appear drunk in a job interview no one will hire you. Neither can you use your certificate in a sick bed. I went to a mechanic workshop and asked for an electrician, he came out drunk. I told him I would return but I never did. Some have come to make peace with their situation. They would say that’s how God wants it. No, it is wrong. God wants you to be free, he wants you to be successful. No father wants to see his child chained or locked up in a prison. He will do everything in his power to get him freedom. In this case our father is the creator of the universe, he is the all-powerful God. He loves you and I so much that he sent his only begotten son Jesus to set us free (John 3:16). God wants to glorify himself in us, he created us in his own image. Cry unto him for help. The widow in LUKE 18 did not give up in her quest for justice; she kept troubling the unjust judge until he got her the justice which she deserves even though he does not fear God. Matthew 7:7(Ask and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you). So friends, keep asking for your freedom, knock on the right door and you will definitely find what you are seeking for in Jesus name. The first step to your freedom is salvation. If you have not made Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, why wait, do it and you shall be free indeed in Jesus name.

Lord Jesus, I come to you today, I am a sinner, and I cannot help myself, forgive me my sins, and cleanse me with your precious blood. Deliver me from sin and Satan to serve the living God. Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and savior. Now I know I am Born Again, Amen.
