THE RAGING STORM: PART 4 (THE JONAH IN YOUR SHIP) JONAH 1 AND 2

Jonah 2 (15. So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging. 16. Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly and offered a sacrifice unto the LORD, and made vows) Sometimes we may be faced with waves of problems that seem not answers to prayer and fasting, no matter how much we try. This could be very strange because you may be doing the right thing but you keep getting negative results and losing battles that you are meant to win. This may be time for you to search the ship and see who the occupants are and what they do. Some problems require action not prayer and fasting. Jonah, in our ship may be the reason for the storm that we are experiencing in our lives. The storms will not stop except we get him out. Getting him out will require courage because it will play to our conscience and emotion just as he did to those people in the same ship with Jonah. These are the kinds of people who are in disobedience to divine instruction. They can be very dangerous to themselves and to others. Achan defied divine instruction and the entire camp of Israel suffered for it (Joshua 7:1). As we walk through life we need to be in tune with the Holy Spirit to know if there is any Jonah in our ship. Notice that the occupants in the ship had to call unto their gods for rescue but their gods did not answer. They casted lots to know who the cause of their problem is and the lot fell on Jonah. The situation was beyond their gods and idols. They knew something was wrong somewhere and they needed to find out. It was a learning moment for them also because at the end they all turned to the living God who alone can calm the storm. Jonah 1:6(So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, what meanest thou, O sleeper? Arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not). The most annoying part was that Jonah was sleeping while the people cried. Don’t try to rescue Jonah because you will sink with him. They are aware of their circumstance and very comfortable with it. In fact they will rather die than to change, they know the solution but will not tell you. They have a stubborn spirit, the spirit of disobedience. God is displeased with them and if you try to help them you will enter trouble with God no matter how anointed you are. Jonah would rather spend three days in the belly of the fish than to do the right thing. They are anointed to do a specific job, they would be saved, if they call unto God and do what God asked them to do, but if they remain in your ship you may die and they will live. Jonah 2(1.Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish’s belly, 10. And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited Jonah upon the dry ground). I pray that you will not fall victim in Jesus name. These set of people want to have it their own way. It is only God that can rescue Jonah, you can’t save them. The only thing you can do for Jonah is to pray for him in secret. As soon as you recognize Jonah in your life, pray to God and stay very far away from him. Have nothing to do with him because he will sink you. Just tell him, Jonah, go and make peace with God. It is very difficult decision but it is necessary. That’s exactly what happened to the people in the same ship with him. You will not lose any battles again in Jesus name. Lord Jesus, I come to you today, I am a sinner, I cannot help myself, forgive me my sins, cleanse me with your precious blood. Deliver me from sin and Satan to serve the living God. Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and saviour. Now I know, I am Born Again, Amen. #womanyouarefree www.womanuarefree.blogspot.com neneisahoc@gmail.com
