Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
The journey of destiny is full of challenges and obstacles but they are not meant to destroy us, rather they are intended to make us strong as long as we continue to stand on the word of God. Many times you may have tried to throw in the towel but when you remember the promise of God it keeps you strong and empowers you to keep fighting. You that are reading this message right now will not give up, in Jesus' name. When Bishop David Oyedepo was called to preach the Gospel of prosperity in the kingdom of God he was not manifesting the prosperity himself initially; everything was the opposite but he kept standing on the covenant of God and today the rest is history. In the same way, if you continue to stand on the promise of God for your life your journey here on earth will not be in vain.
Life is a battlefield and destiny is an individual race, we are all expected to face our race squarely if not our journey here on earth will be a waste. Our God is a covenant-keeping God and the bible is a book of covenant. The day we give our life to Jesus Christ is the day our race began; our covenant journey began at new birth because God does not enter into a covenant with a stranger. The scriptures contain the terms and conditions of this covenant journey with God and as we continue to play our part our testimony is guaranteed.
New birth separated us from the world; God called Abraham and he separated him from his people and entered into a covenant with him. God has the responsibility of bringing His word to pass in the life of Abraham because he obeyed Him. When the challenges came he held onto the covenant and stood on it and refused to stumble on that word. He knew God could not lie and He can never lie; he believed in the word even when everything about him was saying no to him. His physical body and the body of his wife were against the reality of that promise but he kept standing on the covenant.
Romans 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. 18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. 19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
You may ask, but Nene how do I know that God is still with me in this journey; He will continue to guide you at every step of the way; He will show you more things to do to strengthen the covenant; He will encourage you to be steadfast and reaffirm the covenant so that you will know that He did not forget. For example; Abraham says to Him, see that I have no heir, that my servant is my heir. God responds and says no, that Sarah will give him an heir (Genesis 15:1-4). Another time the LORD came to him and said by this time of the year Sarah will bring forth an heir (Genesis 18:10). What should I do to avoid stumbling on the word?
1) Keep serving God, 2) be a student of the bible 3) Continue to build up your faith. and 4) Keep praising Him.
Friends, that challenge is a stepping stone to your next level and you are very close to your destination so don't give up and keep standing on the promise of God for your life because He that promise you is faithful. As I mentioned before, one needs to be born again for one to qualify to walk with God. It is not too late to join the race of destiny; Abraham was 75 years old when God called him and Moses was 80 years old when he was called. The blood of Jesus is the oath that God uses to seal our covenant with Him. The question is, are you yet to enter or have you started your race and somehow the challenges overwhelmed you and you have thrown in the towel; I have good news for you, Jesus is waiting to accept you right now if you will take a bold step towards him by praying this salvation prayer below and be blessed, in Jesus name.
Lord Jesus, I come to you today, I am a sinner, and I cannot help myself, forgive me my sins, and cleanse me with your precious blood. Deliver me from sin and Satan to serve the living God. Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and saviour. Now I know I am Born Again, Amen.
