HOLINESS IS A CHOICE

 Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Life is full of choices; we serve a God who gives people a chance to exercise their willpower. He does not force His will on anyone; He has the power to force everyone to serve Him, but He chooses not to. Every one of us is going to face the consequences of our actions and choices both here on earth and thereafter. Every word of the scripture is a commandment, but just like every other commandment, you have the power to choose to obey or disobey; it is your choice, and no one will fight you over it. The best anyone can do for you is to advise you to make the right choice.

Holiness is a choice and not a gift; there is nothing like, I have a gift of holiness, no, not at all. Even though Holiness is part of the requirement to walk with God, we all have to take personal responsibility in our choice to stay holy. Serving God is a commandment, but we are left with the choice to choose whom God we want to serve. When we make a choice to serve the living God, we are expected to adhere to the rules and regulations of our choice and to build a lasting and profitable relationship with Him. A Holy God cannot dwell in a defiled temple, and the rule of relationship specifies that He lives in us and we live in Him; so, the question we all should ask ourselves is, Is God still living in me? Am I truly carrying His presence? And at what point did I let Him go? Your genuine answers will guide you on what to do to have Him back in your life. 

2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

The problem we have most times as believers is that most are not true to ourselves; we take the things of God for granted.

1 Thessalonians 4:4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

To be a valuable vessel in the hand of God is a choice because the power to remain Holy has already been given to us at new birth. You have become a new creature after you gave your life to Christ; you have been sanctified by his blood, but to remain clean and purified is your responsibility. 

2 Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

 

In conclusion, learn to stay away from everything that can contaminate your vessel; keep yourself holy for every good work. The commandment is for you to be holy, but the choice to be holy lies in your hands. 

John 1:12 (But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name):

Friends, are you struggling with sin? You really want to keep your vessels in honour, but you don't have the power to do it. Worry no more because today is your day of salvation. I have good news for you. Run to Jesus, and he will empower you for righteous living. Say yes to him today and receive power to stay Holy by praying this salvation prayer below.

Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and accept You as my Lord and Saviour. I believe you died for me to make me a new man/woman. Forgive me all my sins, wash me with your blood, and give me a new heart. Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul. Now I believe I am born again. And I am a child of God. Amen!

PRESSING TOWARDS THE GOAL

Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

Gaining new height is a function of pressing upward; no one obtained new ground by folding his arms. Everyone's result is determined by the amount of work they put in winning the battles of life. Everyone is pressing to obtain their crown; you are the only one who is still standing and complaining. When you complain, you are already confessing your weakness; you have surrendered to the enemy before the battle starts. Complaining is a sign that you are losing. So, quit complaining and brace yourself for the journey; it is too early to complain. Who tells you that the journey is going to be easy? Even Jesus pressed until his sweat became blood (John 16:33, Luke 22:44). The race is for the serious-minded people; it is for the rugged fighter who will fight to obtain, not the quitters. I don't appreciate quitters; if you need to cry, please do, but don't stop fighting. Jesus wept, but he did not quit after the weeping Lazarus came back to life. John 11:34 (And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. 35 Jesus wept. 43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth).

I don't know the dead situation you are facing right now, but in the name of Jesus the resurrected Christ, I command the grave to open now and vomit up everything that belongs to you. I speak life to your career, to your business, and to your destiny, in the name of Jesus. There was a time I fasted for 3days without food, but during that period the battle became intense, and I was kind of confused. The Lord says to me that I was not fighting a static kingdom; they can fight too. You are hitting the right target, and your action has triggered a reaction in the satanic kingdom. But that does not mean that their blow will hit you, no. not at all.  Even Apostle Paul said he did not want to fight like those who beat the air, so he had a target, and his target was to obtain his incorruptible crown. 

1 Corinthians 9:25 (And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible. 26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air):

Fighting without a target in mind is an illusion and a waste of time, but you will not waste your energy in the battle of life, in Jesus' name. You cannot give up now, and you cannot turn back; you have already gone too far; so receive strength to press forward, in Jesus' name. You are an army for God, you are the son and daughter of the Lion of the tribe of Judah, who does not turn back for any in battle. So don't be a quitter. Proverbs 30:30( A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any);

You are a warrior; therefore. The noise, the confusion, the fuel, the fire, and the blood stain should not be your problem because that is what the battles call for, and they are all organised in your favour. Isaiah 9:5 (For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire).

Friends, I don't know where you stand in this race now. Are you overwhelmed by the number of adversaries? Just like Jesus, you can cry for help, and God will send you help from His Holy heaven, in the name of Jesus. To be of good cheer and be steadfast in the face of the adversaries, you need Jesus. Those who overcome are the sons of God. To be a son, you need to say yes to Jesus. Hurry up and do that by praying this salvation prayer below and be blessed, in Jesus' name.
