THE REASON FOR THE DELAY

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Until we subject ourselves to self-examination, we may never make progress in this journey of destiny. Most of the time, we may think that we are on the same page with God as we go through the pages of our lives, but we do not know that we are not. The reason for the stagnation may not be far from us; it may be self-afflicted, but if we are not checking ourselves, we may end up blaming the innocent and making the devil so powerful, which he is not. 

Life is not as complicated as many may think, and the decision to walk with God is the best thing that could happen to any believer. The things we ignore as children of God can be the reason for the hiccup in our transition. Jacob loved Rachel; we can say love at first sight. Was he wrong? No. Rachel was part of his journey, but to some extent. Leah´s marriage to Jacob was not by accident; it was part of God's agenda for Israel. But one thing you may not want to ignore in the play of their lives is God's involvement and His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. 

Genesis 31:32 With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him not live: before our brethren discern thou what is thine with me, and take it to thee. For Jacob knew not that Rachel had stolen them. 34 Now Rachel had taken the images, and put them in the camel's furniture, and sat upon them. And Laban searched all the tent, but found them not. 35 And she said to her father, Let it not displease my lord that I cannot rise up before thee; for the custom of women is upon me. And he searched, but found not the images.

Rachel loves other gods, and she cleaves unto them, and that on its own could cause defilement in the camp of Jacob. God wants to be the only one in the life of His chosen one. He does not want to share his space with anyone. Rachel has an opportunity to repent when his father chases them down in search of his gods, but she does not. No matter how beautiful and kind you are, if you are not serving God in truth and loving Him with all your heart, you have declared Him your enemy. 

Deuteronomy 32:8 When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel. 9 For the LORD's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance. 10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. 11 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: 12 So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him. 13 He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;

The above scripture said that the LORD alone led Jacob, and there was no strange god with him. If you want God to lead you and direct you, He has to be the only one because He wants to boast about your relationship with Him, just like He did in the lives of Job, Abraham, and Jacob. The question we all should be asking ourselves as we continue on this journey is: Is there anything in me that is delaying my journey? What should I do to get rid of any idols in my life that are causing setbacks? Friends, please don't be too self-righteous and ignore your own faults. When things are not going well with you despite all your service in the vineyard of God, the first place to look before pointing accusing fingers is within. When it comes to the race of destiny, a little bit of selfishness is allowed because you can't please people and displease God and yourself. Because if you fail, you alone will be blamed, but if you are winning, you will have many cheerleaders. As they say, failure has no friend.

The cure for delay and stagnation is the presence of God because without Him, we can do nothing. That is why nothing is moving until you get Him involved. The Frustration is because of God's absence in a man's life. God was working with them and confirming His word with signs following. The signs and wonders you are searching for have a condition: your love for God. If God is not working with you, you are alone, and there will be nothing extraordinary about you. 

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, open eyes to see any hidden idol in my life and empower me to get rid of them, in Jesus name. Amen

Friends, get rid of the idol of your heart today because tomorrow may be too late; surrender your life to Jesus today by praying the salvation prayer below and be blessed, in Jesus name.

Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and accept You as my Lord and Saviour. I believe you died for me so that I could become a new man/woman. THE REAL IDOL

Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Idols are sacred to those who worship them; they depend, trust, and rely on them. Whatever you depend on and feel you can't do without has become your god. The real idol is not the one carved with wood; it is the one carved in our heart; that thing, that person, that feeling that has replaced the sacred place made for God alone in our lives. That habit that you can´t do without, that substance that is controlling you, you are worshipping it, you feel you can't do without it, but you can sacrifice your relationship with God just to have a taste; it has become an idol. That is why it is very easy to miss it; you may say, Nene, but I am not worshipping any other gods. I don't worship money, and I am not bowing to any image. It is true, but you are worshipping that child who is a gift from God, you are nursing an offense, bitterness, you are worshipping fame that God gives to you, you are worshipping that relationship, you are saying that it is a no-go area, that is a sacred line that no one dares to cross. You are saying nobody comes between me and this thing. Which means even  God cannot stop you. Think about it for a second. Are there any such things in your heart? What is it that has occupied that space in your heart that is meant for God that you need to let go of? God is a jealous God, and you are His spouse; He cannot share your attention with anyone or anything. 

Exodus 20:1 And God spake all these words, saying, 2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Our relationship with Jesus is the utmost; every other thing is a fringe benefit, and that is the reality that needs to sink in. If not, you will find yourself having an idol. God hates idolatry. Let go of your idol so that you can have a better relationship with the Holy Spirit. You don't need to compromise your faith by putting your job or a friend first, forgetting that God gave them to you in the first place, and by sacrificing your attachment to them for your relationship with God. He will give you a better one. God really wants to bless you, but that blessing may become an idol, and He hates it. That's what led Him to test Abraham; He thought Isaac was competing with his love for Him. Most times, the devil is not that powerful that he will get his way in our lives, no, but when we break the rules of our relationship with God, he will step in as a persecutor. If Isaac happens to come from my hometown and dies, we will say witches have killed him. We have to be careful not to make the gift of God an idol and place it above Him. Our relationship with God is more important than the gift; He would rather save our souls than let His gift cause problems for us. We really need to balance things so that we can enjoy the blessing of God. If you want the blessing of Abraham, you need to pass the test of your love for God by letting go of your idol. 

Rachel failed by holding on to the gods of his father's house; her love for Isaac was not enough; Isaac's love for her was not enough to let go of her idol. She cleaved to them. At that moment, she had made her choice between the God of Jacob and the god of her father´s house. When you cleave to the wrong things, you will begin to lie to cover up, and that too is a sin.

We have many Rachels in our generation today who will never let go of their idol, no matter the kind of love God shows them; it is heartbreaking. Our God is a consuming fire and a jealous God; no one can quench His anger against anyone who replaces Him with an idol. One may say, but Nene, I am not sacrificing to the devil; immediately you choose a side, you have made a sacrifice, and it is to the devil. God is love, and love is all about sacrifice. You have sacrificed your relationship with God for the devil. God considered it hatred towards Him.

Deuteronomy 32:16 They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger. 17 They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not. Deuteronomy 32:21a They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities:

Friends, do you have anything in your custody contesting your love for God? You need to focus on your journey, and the only way to do that is to drop the distractor. Drop them quickly, pray the salvation prayer below, and be blessed, in Jesus' name.

EMPTY YOURSELF ON THE ALTAR

 Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Until we empty ourselves and withhold nothing, there will be no space for God to operate in our hearts. He hates competition; He wants to be the centre of attention in our lives. Our relationship with God requires that we surrender all to him to lay hold of eternal life. Many today are holding back something precious to them. Many may not even be aware that they are withholding something. God searches the heart, and that is why He said we should give our hearts. He wants everything about you; every space in your heart; He does not want to share the space in your heart with anyone or anything. Until we resolve this issue of space with God, our relationship with Him will not bear fruit. You may not be engaging in any active sin, and praying regularly and not missing church, yet He is not close. Friends, I want you to know that it is very easy to miss God without knowing. It may not be intentional, and you may not even be aware that He is no longer as close as he used to be. One may ask, but Nene, I have surrendered everything. You are right, if that is how you feel, but it goes beyond your feelings. I used to think the same until recently, when there was a trigger, and I realised that my fellowship with Jesus is no longer as before. The painful part of it was that I didn't even realize that I had drifted away from Him.

Thank God for His mercy that woke me from my slumber.  There are so many things that could create a distance between God and us; it may be a relationship that we cherish so much and hold on to too tightly, but may not be in alignment with the plan of God for us; it may be a feeling, it may be pain of loss, or grief. Recently, when I began writing on this subject, the Lord began to work with me. I found myself weeping in the middle of writing. He said, " My daughter, you can't publish this topic without practicing what you are preaching. He said to me you need to let go of some pain you are nursing, and give me everything. I lost my Dad on the 26th September, 2025, and God has been working on me since then to let go. I actually thought I had let it go because I had that discussion with him before, but not knowing that deep inside me, I was still holding on to the feeling and nursing it. My Dad went to be with the Lord. I wasn't prepared for his departure; he promised to stay a little while, but he left. He left a message saying he was tired of staying and couldn't wait any longer, and also said I shouldn't be told until he was gone. I thought that was fair enough because I believe that in every relationship, there should be closure. But I think that was not enough for me. I had a deep connection with my Dad; he was a nobleman and a loving father. He dedicated his life and nurtured me into the woman I am now. The fear of him leaving one day has been my worry, and it has happened.

Friends, you need to check yourself and see if you are withholding something that needs to be laid down on the altar as a sacrifice for your love for God. God said to me, give me everything. Lay them down on the altar as a sacrifice; I said what? He said, " Those deep feelings, let them go. It is causing a problem; it is interfering with our relationship. It is becoming an idol; you have to let it go. After weeping, I said to God, whatever I had, you gave them to me as a gift. My Dad was a gift, and I cannot cherish the gift more than the one who gave it. The mistake we often make is focusing on the gift and forgetting the giver, forgetting that there is more to where it comes from. In the case of Abraham, Isaac was becoming an idol, and God said I want to collect your Isaac back. Thank God Abraham did not resist; that would have created a serious wedge between him and God.

Genesis 22:1 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. 2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. 10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. 12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. 15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, 16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: 17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; 18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

 

Friends, I want you to know that whatever you sacrifice on the altar to God for your love for Him, He will always give you back a hundredfold. Peter said, Lord, we have emptied ourselves for you, and what is our reward? Jesus responds by saying a hundredfold and a throne, both here on earth and in heaven. Jesus is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. Whatever you let go of for your relationship with Him, He will give it back to you in multiple forms. 

Friend, I appeal to you to have a conversation with the Holy Spirit right now, tell him to help you bring out whatever is hidden in your heart that is interfering with your relationship with him. Then begin to ask God for mercy, tell him you are sorry, and that you did not realize that you have drifted far away from him. Surrender all, empty yourself of everything so that he can use it as his vessel. Don't let pride deprive you of eternity with Christ; withhold nothing from him, and you will see his glory begin to manifest in your life. 

It is risky to assume salvation. Friends, begin your journey with God by praying the salvation prayer below and be blessed, in Jesus name.

NO LOVE WITHOUT SACRIFICE

Whatever you left behind for that relationship you enter into is the sacrifice; our relationship with God requires that we leave something behind, something that we are used to, that is not suitable for our newfound relationship. The lifestyle that has become part of us from the beginning, contrary to the plan of God for us.

John 10:17 (Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father).

  

Jesus Christ left his Father in heaven and came to earth to build a relationship with us, and we also need to leave whatever we know behind and reciprocate his love. Abraham left his father´s house and kindred to build a relationship with God. When it comes to our love for God, He hates competition; whatever we cannot lay on the altar as a sacrifice of our love for God has become our idol, and God hates idolatry. The power to lay down and take it again has been given to us by redemption because as Christ is, so we are in this world (1 John 4:17). Sacrifice is the proof of our love for Jesus. He said if you value your life more than your relationship with him, you cannot be his disciple. He has to be number one in everything; something precious must be sacrificed on the altar for the relationship to be cemented. The good thing about our sacrifice is that what we give will be given back to us in multiple forms. Jesus Christ gained back his life, and then many sons and daughters were born to God. He was given a name that is above every other name. The reason many people's stories are not changing is that of idolatry; Abraham became the father of nations by sacrifice. As followers of Jesus and children of Abraham, we have the same power to lay down our idols and pick up our cross. Picking up a cross means being like Jesus by following his footsteps.

The rich man refused to pick up his cross and follow Jesus;  he did not want to be like Jesus; he did not want to sacrifice his luxurious lifestyle and pleasures for the Gospel. He values his life more than his love for God. Peter, on the other hand, left everything, including family and the comfort of his home, and moved in with Jesus. Jesus also spelled out their benefit just like Abraham and God.  Our prayer should be. O Lord, give me power to lay down my life. You are not going to die physically, but your present lifestyle that defies God's agenda must die.

Genesis 22:5 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, 16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: 17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; 18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

Matthew 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. 39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

If you are not ready to leave your former lifestyle that defies what God represents, then you are not ready for a relationship with Jesus. It is called sacrifice because that habit has become part of you, and it cannot be part of your relationship with God, which means by all means you must drop it. 

Matthew 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

We are to cleave with him in holy matrimony, glue with him. He is holy, and we cannot force our uncleanness on him; it will not work.

Love is all about sacrifice; if you are not ready to lay down your life, you are not in love. Sacrifice means denying yourself of immediate pleasure for the glory ahead. Jesus denied himself of the heavenly glory that he came to this world with; he left his throne, he made himself of no reputation, and took the form and likeness of man to rescue us from the hand of Satan. Giving our lives to Jesus means total surrender of our willpower and letting Him rule and reign through us. He did not redeem us to be a nonentity. He redeemed us as kings and priests unto our God, and we are to reign in his name because He is the king of kings. 

Mark 10:28 Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. 29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, 30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come.

Jesus has all the power to lay down his life and to take it again, but he chose to obey the commandment of the Father and lay it down. When we have the power to say no and choose to say yes, by doing the right things, it is called love. God has given every man the power to say no or yes, and that is why he is not forcing us to obey his commandment. He is not forcing us to serve him. The choice to obey his commandment has been given to us; whatever we decide to do will determine where we stand with him. Love is not by force; it is a choice, and that is why people can decide to be in love with the wrong people or the wrong thing. Everyone is going to live by their choice; you can´t blame someone else for the choice you made with your eyes wide open. Love has a language, and only those who are in love with God can understand and speak the language. Only the sheep who are of the same fold can recognise and hear the voice of their shepherd. Jesus said we should love our brothers, and our proof of love for our brothers is to lay down our lives for them so they can become one with us and follow one shepherd. 

Friends, are you withholding something from God? Are you ready to surrender all as a sacrifice for your love for him? If your answer is yes, quickly pray this salvation prayer below and lay them down at his feet. God bless you.

BONDING WITH JESUS

Matthew 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Bonding is required in every genuine relationship; without bonding, separation is inevitable. Every genuine child of God is required to build a lasting relationship with Him. The issue of Love is very important to God, and He did not shy away from it. Love for God is the first and greatest commandment of God.  A relationship without love is on the verge of separation; that is, if they are not already separated. Love is the bond that binds us together with Jesus and then links us to God. We are cemented together with Jesus by Love. Our relationship with God has an enemy, and his name is Satan, the devil. He is walking up and down the earth, looking for how to put asunder in our relationship. His number one agenda is to separate us, because without separation, he cannot drag us to hell with him. When we are cemented together with Jesus, it will be very difficult for him to have his way in our lives and relationship with God. Love is that cement, it is that supernatural glue that binds us together with Jesus. Where there is no love, envy, jealousy, doubt, anger, and all manner of negativity reign, and those are Satanic weapons of separation. One may ask, Nene, if bonding is what will keep me glued together with Jesus permanently and then keep Satan away from our relationship; how should I go about it? 

With Jesus, there is no distance relationship; we cannot bond with someone we are not spending quality time with. There is no love at first sight with God; if not, everyone would have loved Him without too much persuasion. 

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Bonding with Jesus requires quality time, dedication, commitment, and total surrender. Quality time with God is a requirement in building our relationship with Him. That is why a distance relationship does not work with Jesus. Because any time we spend apart from Him will always create a vacuum, and that space is what the devil needs to separate us from Him. The disciples were always seen with Jesus. When you go through the gospels, you will notice how Jesus Christ was always with them, teaching and explaining the things of the kingdom of heaven. Eve was not tempted until she was distant from Adam; then the serpent used that opportunity to create doubt between them and God. Satan is always around, but he will not come near you if you are not far from God. He uses the vacuum created to sow a seed of distrust between Adam and God. Genesis 3:1 (Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?). Don´t spend time listening and meditating on what the devil is telling you; disconnect yourself from him by spending quality time with God.

The more time you spend with someone with your heart open, the more you know them, and the stronger your relationships become. We bond with God by spending time reading and meditating on his words. Jesus Christ is the word of God. We get to know him more through reading, studying, listening, and meditating on his words. As we continue in his word, we will begin to look like him, and our relationship will become perfect. You get a perfect image from the mirror if you are not close to it, so our closeness is very important.

Dedication, on the other hand, speaks about our zeal for him and his agenda; the more we take his commandments seriously, the more we bond with him. The disciples show their dedication towards their relationship with both when he was physically present with them, and when he went back to heaven; that dedication is what makes me and you his disciples today. 

John 14:23 (Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him).

Commitment: Love is built on commitment. Both parties have to show commitment towards each other. Jesus Christ has already proved his allegiance to God and to us. It is now our turn to show allegiance towards him by our obedience to all his instructions and commandments. The disciples prove their commitment to Jesus beyond a reasonable doubt, except Judah Iscariot, who was a son of perdition. John 14:15 (If ye love me, keep my commandments).

Total surrender; it means you have to surrender your heart by showing total trust and confidence in him and his word. You can´t be here, and your heart is there; that is why God said, " My son, give me your heart. If you are not ready to surrender, it is a total waste of time. Mistrust will always leave a crack or hole in a relationship, and that enables Satan to put asunder. Please don't let him in. The twelve disciples of Jesus left everything and followed him, but the rich man, on the other hand, refused to surrender all, even though he fulfilled all the other commandments (Matthew 19:16-27). 

With Jesus, Love is a total package; everything has to be complete. It is not just enough to say you love God; it has to come from your heart, and you have to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt by using everything mentioned above as your guide. Paul the Apostle was so sure of his bonding with Jesus, and he made the following statement; Romans 8:38 (For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord).

HOW TO BE A COMMANDER

In this kingdom, everything answers to our obedience to God´s commandment; if you are not obeying the commandment of the highest order, you cannot be in command of things. They will not respond to you. You give and receive; that is how life is. 

In this kingdom, good success and prosperous ways are not a promise; they are a covenant. The bible is not a book of promise. It is a book of covenant; it is a book of law, and laws are meant to be observed and obeyed. Disobedience to the law has consequences, and every lawbreaker will definitely face the music. 

We cannot transfer all our responsibility to God. It is an error; any child who folds her arms and watches her parents take full responsibility for her life is irresponsible, and our God does not raise irresponsible children. We cannot blame anyone for our failure, including the devil, because what we need to silence the devil has been written in the book of law. What the devil does is take advantage of us in our walk with God. He is monitoring our affair to see how we are conducting ourselves so that he can pound on our errors, but that will not be you, in Jesus' name.  

Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. 10 Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, 11 Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it.

Our obedience to God´s instruction is the answer to everything we need to live a stress-free life. As soon as Joshua obeyed God´s command and began to do the same, he commanded the people, and they responded to him. The reason many are stagnated is that they are not obeying God´s commandment. God is waiting for our response to the last instruction He gave to us, but remember, He will not wait forever. 

God knows that there is a need for understanding in our relationship with Him; that is why He will spend time to tell us what we need to do to bring the full fulfilment of His promise in our lives. After the death of Moses, the servant of God, God spoke to Joshua. He told him that He can repeat what He did in the life of Moses if he will obey His instruction as Moses did. He shows Joshua the secret of good success and that he will not be disappointed if he follows the steps. In the same way, God can repeat what he did in the life of Joseph in Egypt in our lives if we follow the secret of success written in the book of law. If we did what Joseph, Daniel, and Moses did, we would command good success like them. 

From (Joshua 1:3-9), God did not say that He will give them every place the sole of their feet tread, no, He said He has given it to them, which means, it is a done deal. In the eyes of God, He has already defeated the enemies for them, but they need to do their own part, and their part is to obey every instruction in the book of law. Satan, our adversary, is stalking us day and night, waiting for us to disobey instructions so that he can stop our advancement or cause a delay in our journey. In the same way, Jesus Christ has won the victory for us, but to lay hold of our blessing, we need to take responsibility.

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Jesus Christ says that he did not come to do away with the law; instead, he came to fulfil the law, which means God has not changed His law; instead, He made it better, and easier for us to follow. He summarises it for us, and with the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, grace has come for us, and what grace does is to give us access to the throne of grace anytime we break the law, so that Satan will not take advantage of us. Our access to the throne of grace is insistent, and that cripples Satan's activities in our lives as a believer.

John 15:10 (If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. 12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you).

Friends, if Jesus Christ obeys the commandment of the Father and fulfils his assignment, you, as his followers, cannot fulfil your destiny without obeying God's commandment. Remember that every word of God written in the Bible is a commandment. 1 John 5:3 (For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous).

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus, give me the grace to take personal responsibility in my walk with you; open my eyes to see what I need to do in Scripture to lay hold of your promise for me. Thank you, Jesus (Amen).

Our understanding of scripture is critical in our walk with God; every commandment of the bible is meant to be observed and obeyed. You can't obey the instructions you don't understand, and you can't have access to the voice of God if you are not his son or daughter. Jesus Christ obeys his Father's commandment. SKETCHING YOUR OWN JESUS

If Jesus has revealed himself to you, you should be able to sketch his image; everyone would be given a chance to sketch the image of who Jesus is to them; don't worry, whatever you sketch is correct. It is your personal revelation of him that matters; it is you who knows the picture you saw, not me. What many believers got wrong is the picture they have in their minds. Until your revelation of the word who is Jesus transforms into a physical image, you will not be able to manifest your original destiny. You need a personal conviction of who Jesus is to you, and be satisfied with your discovery before you can discover your real self. I came across a funny post on social media, but it spoke to me. Every man was given clay to mould their dream wife, and they began to mould some kind of ridiculous image; and these are not young men, and what came into my mind at that moment was that, so, the women they married for how many years were not their dream wife. People want to be satisfied, but only Jesus can give you exactly what you desire. And you need to know him personally before that could happen; a relationship with him is needed for you to be satisfied. Without Jesus, there would always be a void in man's life that must be filled because we are complete in him.

Colossians 2:9 (For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:)

That is why I said let everyone sketch their Jesus, because we may not be talking about the same Jesus. It is to you according to your revelation of him. If you can behold it, you can have it; even if you manage to hold it without seeing it first, you will not know the value; you will believe whatever they tell you it is. If you give a blind man gold, he will not know the value; he will need your explanation before he can picture it in his mind. Satan has blinded the minds of many people so that they will not see the value of the gospel of Jesus. God told Abraham that as long as his eyes can see, it will be given to him and his seed forever (Genesis 13:14-17). 

2 Corinthians 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Revelation is the key; the question is, are you satisfied with the image of God you have, or do you want to draw your own image because it all depends on you. Friends, note that whatever image you generate will be put to the test; they will go through fire. If it stands the test of time, then you have gotten it right. 

1 Corinthians 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

 

The image of Jesus Christ in your mind is what will sustain you in the time of the storm because the wind will blow contrary to your expectation, and the sure foundation that will keep you grounded is the image of Christ in your heart. When the fire comes, when the wind blows, you can boldly declare that I stand on the solid rock, Christ is my rock,  my sure foundation; I stand strong, my work cannot be destroyed, and my labour shall not be in vain, and rewards are guaranteed. I am sure of the image of Jesus I have in my mind, it is the correct and perfect image because I have seen him and I know him personally.

Friends, the gospel, the image of Christ, is hidden from them that are lost; my appeal to you this hour is to come out from the company of the blind, let the gospel of light shine on you and transform your mind so that you can have access to your inheritance and begin to possess them in order of Abraham. 

2 Corinthians 6:17 (Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty). God called Abraham to separate himself from his father's house, but he did not fully separate because he carried Lot along, until Lot separated from him. He could not sketch the true image of God, but when he did, he began to possess his possession. Now, it is your turn to let go of any Lot blocking you from seeing the true image of Jesus to access your inheritance. Come out quickly, separate yourself by praying the salvation prayer below, and become a son and a daughter of the Most High God. God bless you.

BE A CHOSEN ROCK

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Until you become a rock in which Christ can build his church upon, you cannot be binding and casting. The power to bind and loose was given to the rock, and not every believer can manifest it; the rocks are those who have received the revelation of Jesus Christ's true identity. That title is reserved for those to whom God has revealed His Son (Matthew 16:17). 

Galatians 1:16 (To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood):

Every believer is ordained as a rock that Christ wants to build his church upon because that is how his kingdom will grow and expand. Christ is the chief cornerstone, and we are to be laid upon him and built. The irony of this is that many believers think that Peter was the only rock; no, all the redeemed are meant to be, but during Jesus' earthly ministry, it was only Peter that he could rely on to fight for his enthronement. He received the revelation of Jesus' true identity, and that qualified him as a stone. When you get to the point of knowing who Christ truly is to you and the world, you will become a chosen rock, and Christ will begin to build upon you until you become a holy nation. Knowing the true identity of Jesus means your foundation in Christ is now solid to build upon. That is. no matter the wind and the storm, you will remain unshakeable. The wind will definitely blow, but only the house built on the rock can stand the storm of life. 

Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Jesus Christ is a wise master builder who will not build his church on sand. His will for you is to become a rock on which he can build his church, but you need to answer the question of his true identity. 

Matthew 16:14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

 

Does that mean Satan will not try? He will try, but because the revelation power has been given to you to bind and to lose him at will, he will fail. Because you can command things to happen as you want, Christ has to trust you before that power can be released to you. He said he had prayed for Peter because Satan had vowed to pull him down, but Christ had prayed for him that he would bounce back (Luke 22:31-34). Note that if you don´t know the true identity of Jesus, Satan will not have business trying to pull you down. He goes after those who know the truth, but the same truth will set you free from him, in Jesus' name.  John 17:20 (Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;). Christ has prayed for me and you the same way he prayed for Peter. And he is watching to see if anyone will make himself ready so that he can build upon him or her as his chosen rock.

1 Peter 2:6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. 7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, 8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

It takes revelation to know who we are in Christ, and that was what qualified Peter for his elevation. Your identity will not be revealed until you know Jesus' true identity. If you truly know who Jesus is, then you have become a chosen rock, a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, and your job is to show forth the glory of God to the lost soul and bring them to Christ. Your job as a chosen rock is to bring others who are still trapped in darkness into the light, and if Satan tries to challenge you, then you can bind him and set his captive loose by the authority given to you as a chosen rock.
