John 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
We are serving an intentional God who created everything with a purpose in mind. Everything God created has a function, a purpose for which he created them; there is nothing he created that has no use, except you have not discovered the use of that particular thing. When you take your time and go through the book of Genesis from chapter one to three, you will know how intentional our God is. When He created us in His own image, it was not a mistake; it was deliberate. He is a very good businessman who does not waste resources, and He will not tolerate wastage from any of His creations. He knew why He created us in His own image, we are part of His body; we are meant to complement Him, and He said any part of Him that refuses to function shall be cut off. For example, a blind man will do anything to get his sight back because that part of his body that makes him complete is not functioning. People undergo knee replacement because a problematic knee is a burden and can slow a person's progress. Any part of our being that is not functioning properly, we either look forward to repairing it or replacing it. In the same way, we are the body of Christ, and if we refuse to function properly, he has the right to cut us off and replace us with another. If you, as a part of the body of Christ, decide to be dormant, you will find yourself in the fire; God is too intentional to allow a burden. He said He will spit such a burden out of His mouth. Revelation 3:15(I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth).
He did not create you so beautiful to be looking at your face, your beauty is to bring profit for His kingdom, your angelic voice is to bring profit to His kingdom, your wisdom is to serve His interest and the interest of his kingdom. Everything you are as a whole is to glorify Him and to bring profit for Him. Your greatness in life is tied to your functionality as the body of Christ. God will always come to ask you to account for what He has given to you, to see what else you have gained with that one talent. He is always coming; it is you who did not notice. Don't wait for the day of judgment because judgment has started already. He is reviewing your account of stewardship every day.
Luke 16:2 (And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward).
Accountability is one thing you cannot shy away from in this kingdom because every man will account for what God has given them to trade with, and the result will either be promotion or hellfire, no in between, so be careful.
Luke 19:15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. 16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. 17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. 18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds. 19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities. 20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin: 21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow. 22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow: 23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury? 24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds. 25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.) 26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.
The authority you command as a believer depends on the level of your faithfulness as a steward. For the scriptures say that if you have not been faithful in little, who will commit to your hand true riches (Luke 16:11). Your gift will not be given to another, in the name of Jesus. All you need to do is ask for grace to be a faithful servant, and He will gladly release it to you right now. Friends, you need to be part of the body before talking about faithfulness. To be a branch of the true vine, you need to say yes to Jesus by praying this salvation prayer below and be blessed, in Jesus' name.
Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and accept You as my Lord and Saviour. I believe you died for me to make me a new man/woman. Forgive me all my sins, wash me with your blood, and give me a new heart. Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul. Now I believe I am born again. And I am a child of God. Amen!
